Don't use a muslin aisle runner on grass that got rained on the day before and plan to wear heels!!!  I almost fell going up the aisle, when my heel went through the fabric and caught!   The rest of the way up the aisle, I was high steppin it to make sure it didn't happen again. LOL.  Just don't do it.  =)

Oh no!  Good advice!  I'm actually walking on a concrete sidewalk so I think I'll be ok.  :)

good advice!

we used rose petals to line either side of the aisle...in the middle, where we all walked down, it was just grass :)

On concrete, I'd wear heels.  When we did our trial run, it hadn't rained in a couple of days and then it was fine too, I think with the rain the day before it was too much.  =)

Oh dear.... I was wanting an aisle runner, but it will be laid down on grass.  Any suggestions for a different material that will work?  I'm wearing wedges I think.  I've been told they are the best for grass ceremony sites.

I'm also using a runner on grass and wearing heels. It does seem to follow that muslin is a bad idea. We need to start pooling our ideas, ladies. I'm thinking, sturdy but pretty fabric. Maybe a white organza?

I am thinking of doing a fabric runner. I was looking at a few sites and they can be pricey. I feel like it is something I can create on my own. The other thing is what am I really going to do with it after the wedding? I can't reuse it. Hmm...on the wish list it goes.
