No veil for me!

03/31/2008 at 11:02 am

I wasn't going to go with a veil and wear a flower headpiece, but then I discovered the short birdcage/blusher veils, which is more a headpiece than a veil. I don't like the ones that go straight across the face, but I'm looking into the slanted ones. I'm planning on wearing it flipped back more than over my face as well. http://www.unveiledbridaldesigns.com/index.html

But veil or no, it's really up to you and what you feel comfortable with.

Initially I was dead set against a veil.... then when I first began gown shopping, a consultant put a veil on my head and it was like *POOF* instant bride. I was near tears.

So then I was contemplating just a single tier, no blusher. Then my aunt painted this whole visual for me, about "picture his face as he lifts the veil and sees your face at the altar..." etc.... so then I was sold on the idea of a blusher.

Now we're back to the drawing board, as we've scrapped the whole traditional thing in favor of a Vegas wedding-moon, so I will probably forego the whole veil completely, and go with a hairstyle actually similar to the one Aching posted above - something soft and not too structured with a single bloom tucked into it.
