So I'm kinda feeling left out of the traditonal dress discussions. I've been researching traditional Filipino wedding dresses and I'm coming up with nada! I'm kinda getting jealous because I want something to change into since FI is changing into a barong after we take pictures post ceremony!

So I'm bummed until I find something special for me too!

That would be so great if you wore the traditional maria clara dress! Barongs are more common to find though, but here's an example of what they look like:

For my sister's wedding, my Mom had her dress made by a Filipina seamstress.  You could do that.  The lace was actually bought in the Philippines.

How sweet of you to want to do this for your FI.  Google Filipino terno and something like this will show up...I think this is Imelda Marcos the shoe lady.  Usually female attendants (especially mothers) wear this.

This is a real Maria Clara wedding gown.  Yes, it's Barbie!

How sweet of you photo 1738885-2The real ones are made of pina.

If you want something more Filipino and less Spanish inspired google balintawak.

Hope you find something!
