LOL@erindira, that is something my mom would say!

When I was little I was telling my sister a story about this girl that I thought stole one of my toys at school. The girl told me she saw me put the toy in my cubby and had not seen it since and swore she never took it. When I told my sister this she said to me "Why don't you give her the benefit of the doubt" I had to idea what this was so I shouted to her, "NOOO YOU!!" I thought it meant beat her up!! :)

To this day whenever we hear that we say "NOOO YOU!"

When my sister and I were little, we would always say "on accident" instead of "by accident"... I still want to say it the wrong way!!

One of Kylie's friends sings Bon Jovi as "chocolate heart" instead of "shot through the heart" when she is playing Band Hero... I cracked up so bad when she did it!!

Oh man I have a few..... Didn't go to church growing up, but I did go to an extremly southern baptist church with my best friend. Her mom kept referring to the "bah-pull" so I finally asked her what it was....she about feel off the pew and my friend informed me she meant "bible"

A waitress at a hick town seafood place called the entree (ahn-tray) "in trees".

In that song "blinded by the light" I always thought it was.....blinded by the light, wrapped up like a douche in the middle of the night.

My uncle was rasied Presbyterian, so when he went to church with his Episcopalian wife he thought that when she knelt briefly before entering the pew, it was called "genuflex", not "genuflect" because she was flexing by kneeling!! He thought this for probably 30 years!!

My job has a department called "Resource and Referral". I have a coworker who constantly refers to them as the "Research and referral" department. ugh! Drives me nuts!!

Omg, these are too funny! I have a friend who used to say "play it by YEAR" instead of "play it by ear"... We let it go for a while and just giggled until her husband totally called her out one day :)

my coworker always says "right off the back" instead of "right off the bat" and " "deaf" instead of "death" and "fustrated "instead of "frustrated," it's frustrating to hear it but I keep my mouth shut since she's kinda my boss lol

when i was little i thought waitresses were saying "smith, party at 2" instead of "smith party OF 2" I was always wondering why they were calling them when it wasn't that time of day.
