He walks so freaking heavy! All night long, it's pound, pound, pound. He must be some crazy insomniac that has to walk everywhere all night long. Ridiculous. And. We have a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms on either end. He's ALONE in his apartment and uses both bathrooms all night so he'll flush on one side and we can hear it so loudly and then he'll pound across the apartment to the other bathroom??? what is WRONG with him??!?!

As a late nighter (who also lives on the second floor), I have to say...probably nothing. He probably isn't stomping around, either...that's just the way it is with a second floor apartment. I actually hear my downstairs neighbors in the early morning, because they're waking up when I'm trying to go to sleep, and I find THAT annoying. I can hear the shower running and the toilet flushing, and sometimes they might start hammering something or whatever, and it aggravates me because I want to sleep when they want to be awake. I might *seem* like a crazy insomniac to my neighbor, but I actually work at night, so that's why.

oh we have a crazy upstairs neighbor- what happened was we lived in our condo for almost 2 years when no one lived above us. then a couple and their father moved in with a dog - REALLY? fortunately when her husband was deployed, we're like "YES!" because he keeps insane hours, and is a heavy walker. Horrible.

then he got transferred -- and we're like whoo hoo! well they rented their condo to a single mom with a 1 1/2 year old kid. ARE you effin' kidding me?!

needless to say after 1 confrontation, we HATE her! she keeps weird hours, and is so loud up there -- my husband just cranks up the tv or music. he doesn't care anymore because she shows no consideration. one sunday morning -- we could hear the kid playing in the living room, then he told me to go in our master bedroom (theirs is right above ours) we could hear her having sex. REALLY?! I get people have sex, but when your kid (1 1/2 year old - not old enough to be fully left alone - at least I don't think) is playing in the living room. WTH?! do it when the kid's asleep or not at home.

heck we don't have kids and don't plan on having kids, but we think that's so wrong. but that's just my opinion.

I hate those kind of neighbors! I've been living here in my apartment for the past 4yrs and had no issues till last year, when a new neighbor above me arrived. Prior to the lady even moving in we ran into each other in the back parking lot and greeted each other. The kicker was, this lady worked at my job in a department we do service for. You thought we would get along well? Wrong! This lady lived alone and was around 60 yrs old but she kept crazy hours, but I work even/nights and she bothered me.

One Sunday I had to go knocking on her door at 8am because since 6am she walked back and forth till I could not sleep. This was 2hrs straight. I knocked on her door and tried to speak to her politely but she was rude. After that our relationship went negative. I emailed the landlord but they really didn't do anything. So after months I was built up with anger and started "brumming that biotch!" After a few mintues of her walking hard, I would pull out my ole trusty broom and get to knocking it to my ceiling. She would get so mad and on a few occasions and leave her apartment. Yay! Well when her lease was up she moved.

Now I have a new neighbor and this one is getting on my nerves too. Walking heavy, coming home from partying latenight, 2,3,4 am walking around. So tired of this crap. After the wedding, I plan on moving. Too bad I really like this area. I feel safe and have one of the best apartments(1st floor) but I'm at the point of wanting peace and quiet. Someone told me, probably time for me to get a house. But, what happens when you have crappy neighbors? You just can not move then.
