Hi, I'm going to have my alterations done for my dress soon. The tailor asked me to bring the undergarments that I will be wearing. I've heard some gals wear spanx. Is it really necessary to wear an undergarment?

I think it depends on how in shape you are. =) I'm probably going to wear some spanx because I need help wherever I can get it. =)

My seamstress actually sewn in "cups" for me, so I didn't have to worry about undergarment for the dress.

I got a corset from Wacoal because I need help "smoothing out" my torso and some extra boobage.

Not sure if it's necessary, but it makes me feel like I look better in my dress (you know what I mean?).

I'm getting "cups" sewn into the dress as well...but I'm thinking I might need something else to "smooth" out my tummy...any ideas?

I'd go for the all-in-one as mentioned above. When I was in my friend's wedding, I wore a "waistnipper" and a strappless and it was pretty uncomfortable. That, and you still have to worry about the little fatty rolls that peak out in wierd places when you have too many garmets!
