Hi Everyone! I hope you all are loving, living and doing well. I cannot believe how quickly these 6months have flown by since our wedding day!!!! Honestly, I love my DH even more now than ever, which I had no idea I could do since I loved him to pieces already before we were married. Anywho, I know that throughout our engagement there were some issues and conflicts I was a little concerned about before getting married. While most of them were minor, we did have a few 'adjustments' to overcome the first couple of months of our marriage however, we are definitely on the same page now and our communication style has defintely improved tremendously. Have any of you experienced any unforseen challanges now that you both are married? I am very aware that all of us will experience many challenges in marriage over the years...some of which we can expect and try to prepare for...but of course there are those situations or things that we do NOT expect! Please share  your thoughts, issues or resolutions :-)

YES!!!  I love my DH very much but 2 months before our wedding he injured his back.  He has a couple different issues with it -- I'm not sure of the terminology -- but I guess it's not really relevant.  What is relevant are the challenges we have come across in the past several months.

1) Getting through the wedding and honeymoon with his back pain, plus his guilt for being off work and doing these things; 2) General guilt for doing anything that he thinks work would not appreciate (i.e. going out for dinner with friends, etc.); 3)  Maybe the most important is him ALWAYS being at home and in pain -- I think the chronic pain must be unbearable, but it is spilling into his personality and he gets upset a lot.  He is also on pain med's which I think has changed his personality too.  4) He hates not working, so he is trying to compensate around the house which is just making his back worse.

At least there is a light at the end of the road and he will be getting minimally invasive surgery sometime in the upcoming months!  We have faith in the surgeon and are hopeful for a healthy recovery!!!  Marriage is tough, but we are certainly in this together and I love him very much!
