I posted THIS a couple days ago about sugaring vs. waxing...and yesterday I got a brazilian sugaring. Sounds funny. But, I will definitely do it again!

No matter what, it HURTS. Everybody's pain tolerance is different, but yea the girl was like, "you're still ripping hair out of it's follicles...it's going to hurt." The difference she explained to me is that wax sticks to everything, and the sugar/lemon natural paste concoction goes down into the follicles and sticks to the hair only. Therefore you have less skin getting ripped up!

Anyways, also, unlike the wax, you don't need more checmicals to get the stickiness off you, you just wipe the sugar paste off with warm water :)

I know a lot of people said it'd be interesting to look into...and definitely do it! Find reviews on yelp, and go for it!!

It still hurt, just not AS bad. The place I went to was right above this restaurant/bar...she told me to go get a drink after lol

It prob means less break outs and ingrowns that waxing can cause for some. I'm def going to look into this! Thanks for the update Elise!

OMG! I just can't take the pain with reg waxing thought the sugaring process would releave the pain. I heard if you pop an advil before going to get a wax it doesn't hurt as much. Lol haven't tried that route yet.

Yes, I always forget to take an advil before though :( Oh well.

I'm definitely going to see if we have any places nearby that would do this. Question about the brazilian route....how awkward is that having a stranger rip hair out of that private area???? It sounds like a much better option than shaving and worrying about razor bumps, ingrowns and regrowth on our honeymoon = so not sexy.
