Update: snowstorm Nemo East Coast

Hey everyone! checking in to see how all east coast Pdubers have made out.

DH and I cranked the heat to 75 yesterday afternoon and power went out at 8p.m. Luckily the heat was up to 71 by then and lasted us a while. Power came back on at 5a.m. and our heat dropped to 54. We were lucky it was overnight and that the power came back up early.

DH shoveled about a foot of snow at 9 and we got almost another foot. The news is saying a total of 21" in my city. I do have to say I am so so so lucky to have my big strong DH who could shovel for me!

The thing I am most worried about is our street. We are the only house on a dead end street. Which means we are pretty low on the plow totem pole.  I don't even know how they are going to get the plows to out house...ugh we'll see. I may be stuck here for a while.

How is everyone else making out?

Wow Nikki!!!  You guys got much more snow!!!  We got about a foot and poor DH is outside cleaning off our cars and starting to dig them out.  We cranked up our heat too just in case and thankfully, we did not lose power.  The wind has picked up a lot now, so not sure what the morning will hold for us regarding power.

My poor hubby starting to shovel our driveway.  He was out twice yesterday and once at about 10 p.m., so we are not going anywhere for today at least. 

I hope that all of you on the East Coast are doing okay.  It's crazy seeing these pictures of all of the snow you've received.

We are pretty burried, but not as bad as Boston area.

I am just working on my DIY crafts today. We did not lose power, so we are blessed!

So glad you two made it out well. Especially you IdoAgain, rock those DIY today! It's a  perfect day for it.

We still haven't gotten plowed. Blah! DH walked to his parents (a few blocks away) and now I'm procrastinating. I have a 5p paper due tomorrow. Here's a few more pics.

Yikes!!  I hope you guys are staying safe!  I was trying to get ahold of my family up there and so far, they haven't gotten back to me. 

Because what city are they in? Some still don't have power and most streets aren't plowed yet. There was a driving ban that just got lifted at 4.

Our street still isn't plowed and we found out our hot water isn't working (is it ironic that I work in heating?), but that's the worst of it so far.

Oh wow! I am so glad that DH wrapped our pipes earlier in the year - now we just have to wrap the duct work.  LOL

They live in Plymouth and Marshfield.  I'm just a little worried because one of my cousins just got home last week with her new baby.

Our pipes and everything are fine. It's our water heater. The pilot wet out and won't re-light. NBD just some cold water until his frend can get on our street to take a look. Hopefully the it's just a small issue.

Ohhh I love Plymouth! My MOH works there, and it's only about 40 minutes from me.

Let us know if you've heard anything. I'm sure they're just out of power with dead cell phones.
