First of all, I never said that I was not going to vaccinate and my post was wondering what others may have found out or learned in their research or from their provider. This was not intended to be a debate. I know there are different trains of
thought on this matter. There is also scientific information to the contrary which is why for my part, I am doing my research on both sides before making any final decisions. I think that is a very wise and reasonable thing to do. I do know of
people who have had to ask to have the "goop" that is put in their eyes to be done later to allow time to establish breastfeeding and bonding, so every place does not administer it the same and some try to do it right away. Also, if a parent chooses,
you can sign a waiver refusing to have it done, law or not-the same with other procedures. I am not saying this is what people should do or definitively what I will do, but a simple statement that it can be done. I was stating the gonorrhea statement
directly from a reputable children's hospital. They, not I, said that is the reason for giving it. I have seen this come across in other literature as well.
While it is true that some people believe everything they read, some people believe everything that a doctor tells them as well with no questions asked simply because it is coming from a doctor. I think it behooves anyone to do their own
research, ask questions, etc. There should be no problem with this.
As for Jenny McCarthy, her situation which I do not know all the details of, I am sure is not the only one that raised an issue as to whether vax'ing was the culprit of her child's or any other child's condition. I have seen this other places
and she nor her child were ever mentioned. I am not saying, nor have I said that the vax'ing did or did not cause the autism as I do not know.
At the end of the day, each parent has to make the decisions they think is best for their child regardless of what others may think about it. Hopefully though, whatever decisions are made are informed ones.
