So Misshammy mentioned this ... and I hadn't heard of it so I tuned in last night when the premier aired .... ummm maybe its me but I think just like with Twighlight ...this particular vampire story is ruined for me with the main characters being teens .... I can't get into it ....

Maybe True Blood has ruined these types of Teen vampire angst stories for me ...

Maybe I just like my vampire stories chock full of adult content :)

I watched about 10 - 15 minutes of it and turned it off ....

Any one else watch this ??  thoughts ??

I taped it but didn't get a chance to watch it. I'll give it a try and always give a new show 3 episodes before I get rid of it unless it's really bad. I have a feeling I'm not going to like this though.

My daughter thought it was good, but she's almost 11, so go figure. lol

She did say it was a lot like Twilight.

I watched it and it was a lot like twilight! I think because of the teen/high school scenario, i am not going to like it! there is no drama...

Oh good its not just me .... Ghana I think True Blood set the bar very high for vampire stories ... LOL ... if it doesn't have good sexual tension it's not going to work for me ...LMAO!!!

I loved Twilight - books & movie - but this is just a cheap rip-off of the original. It just didn't do anything for me. I will watch a few more eps to see if it gets any better or not.

I started TIVOing this - Ok it scares me! I literally scream and jump on many scenes. The guy is cute, but I find myself fast forwarding through many scenes

So I DVR'd the 2nd episode and when I tried to watch it, it was all jacked-up. The digital recording kept going all pixilated and jumping around so I just erased it. Was the 2nd episode any better than the first?

ahsnap -- the funny thing is that Vampire Diaries is based off a book series from in 1991, which i loooooooooooooooooooved.

of course, when i randomly picked up twilight a few years ago (and totally didn't realize it was YA fiction lol), i kept thinking Meyer kind of ripped off Smith!! lol

i'm enjoying the series. but i also remember the books, and as always, nothing ever compares to the book ; )

I'm watching it and enjoying it... :) LOL.

I'm a huge L.J. Smith fan, although I have never read THIS series.

Maybe I enjoy it b/c I have yet to see Twilight??

I think it's def meant for a younger audience... But...  I'm into it :)
