I have had a total of TWO conversations with this man and both times he was rude, abrasive and borderline starting a fight.  I realize the wedding is in 3weeks and we don't have a cantor/singer...do you have to be a d*ck about it?  Not to mention he changed the time on our meeting for TOMORROW with zero apologies!!!  So annoyed and frustrated.  We are having a ceremony, NO MASS...how hard is it to pick out 2-3 songs?  Not that difficult!!  I am seriously going into this meeting with him tomorrow so angry/annoyed...sorry just needed to vent.

You should call the office and talk to his boss, which is probably the Priest. That's NOT OKAY how he's treating you.

Sorry it's such a bad experience for you :(

Thanks!  Fortunately, my mom contacted a family friend we have someone lined up to sing!  Totally not right either way!

I'm having a problem with our church's musical director too!  She's very aggressive and controlling and it's driving me crazy.  We hired outside musicians because I wanted the harp and I don't think she likes that much.  I had approval from the church too so it's not like we're breaking the rules.  *sigh*  This was my only problem through this process so I can't complain too much.  Good luck!

Thanks, you too!  The with him on meeting on Saturday ended up going okay...he's very quirky though, and I just think he likes to have things "his way."  As long as you have approval from the Church, you should be good to go :)
