My FI just sent me this text:

Terrorist cells are using Project Wedding to get info about the miltary, because of the niave new wives put too much info out there.

So be careful ladies!

Thank you croddy4, this is definitely a good reminder to us all for ANY website or public forum that we use.

Terrorists can use PW, facebook, twitter, myspace, and any other website to access information. Remember to censor your posts and bio pages, and we should all already know what is considered sensitive information and interact accordingly.

If there are any questions as to what could be considered sensitive information or something that shouldn't be posted publicly, err on the side of caution and don't post it.

Sensitive information can include: exact locations, times & dates regarding deployments, operations, positions, troop movement, etc. Please also keep in mind that this is not in regards to ONE post, but should be considered in ALL posts. Terrorism awareness needs to be looked at from a point of view over time, as if your information is being collected every time you post.

One of the most important thing you can do for your husband/husband to be is to familiarize yourself, your family, friends and anyone you share content with (EXAMPLE: Facebook friends) with OPSEC. Especially when they deploy. I've been a military spouse now for 3 years and 2 years of that was deployments. You can start here:
