We Got His Suit - Finally!!!

I'm almost scared to post this - we've gone back and forth on my FI's suit so many times, I feel like it might be tempting fate to publish that it's a done deal. But as of last night, I think it is! Ta-da!



First of all, I'd like to say for the record that I picked TWO wedding dresses, with shoes, in a fraction of the time it took him to pick this suit! But in his defense, I was there and it was really hard! For one thing, he really wanted plain black, which is surprisingly hard to come by. And he wanted two-button, which is also hard to come by. And then, even though it seems like he's a pretty normal build, we tried on dozens of suits everywhere from Loehmann's to Sak's, and the majority just didn't fit quite right, in the shoulders or the chest or the waist (or all three). The only brand that consistently seemed to work was Armani - how convenient for him, right? But Armani doesn't have a plain black two-button this season - and when he almost came around to the idea of having black with a blue weave, he tried on the pants and found that they had a hideous pleated front, so that was the end of that. BUT - Bluefly to the rescue! Bluefly had the exact suit he wanted - and at 33% off retail! Sure, we had to order it twice because the first size didn't fit - and we've spent the last week debating whether the jacket length was right - but as of last night, after seeking several second opinions, he's finally comfortable with it, and we're done. Sheesh. I never in a million years would have thought that his suit would be the hardest part of this wedding!

PS I need to start using bluefly... that's pretty amazing!

I know, right? Between my Nicole Miller dress and Stuart Weitzman sandals, and his Armani suit, we're going to be like the Bluefly poster-wedding! Who would have thought? =)
