Where do you ladies have your professional websites through? I'd like to set up a small portfolio and there are so many options out there, at so many different price levels.

Any references would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

My website template ($100) and hosting (1 year - $100) is through bludomain. Another PWer recommended them but said she hosts through bluehost instead, because bludomain's customer service isn't that great and goes out a lot, but I haven't had any problems as of yet. I also have a blog that is also hosted through bludomain (through my website - I didn't have to pay again for the hosting), but that template is from prophotoblogs ($199). I love everything I have right now.

I used to use wix and blogspot, and before that I used hostmonster), which were fine for when I just started, but I think the investment for the pro stuff was totally worth it.

I've been with Bludomain since '05 and used their hosting and never had a problem. To me it's the best bang for your buck (good sites for as little as $100, hosting is $100 a year).

However, I'm moving on now that Pictage offers FREE web site hosting with their pro level membership. With their new Nimbus program in place this quarter, once you upload images to your clients' event, you don't have to upload again! Blog and site and lab/client service all in one low price.  Plus, the new Nimbus sites are HTML5 (be sure what ever you get, it's HTML5. Flash is becoming obsolete as it doesn't work on mobile platforms) so they work across all mobile platforms.

With Nimbus, you can use the free themes already included, buy premium themes from a designer, or get custom themes built for you by a designer. I've hired David Wolf of Wolfsnap to do mine and it should be up an running by the end of January.

Blu has been very good to me but it's time to move on and upward!

I have no problem making the investment, I just want to make sure I invest in the most user-friendly place possible! I'm good with a camera, not the internet! Ha.

Thanks for the tip ladies, I may give Bludomain a shot.
