A friend and I recently got engaged within about 10days of each other.

I spoke to her after getting engaged and informed her of the date my fiance and I had picked for our wedding. I then received a message from her the other day saying that she had to thank me because I had inspired her wedding date, which they picked the night I told her mine... it's TWO WEEKS before mine!!! Of the other 11 months to pick from she had to choose a date that close to mine!?!?

Am I wrong to be angry, annoyed and hurt? 

i would feel the same way!  i had three friends get married all within six weeks of each other...it was definitely not easy on any of them.

No. It's irritating. One of his friends tried to do it to us.  One month before our original date AND at our venue.  He was even more upset than I was!
