Whats the BEST long lasting eye shadow out there???

I do my makeup every morning and by 10:00am it's not as vibrant as it was when I did it. I need something for the big day that will last all day and not wear off!

I will be doing my makeup for the wedding and I need it to last all day! Anyone have any suggestions? I'm mostly referring to eye shadow!!! But share you favorite long lasting brands of everything if ya want!

Clinique and sephora bases that go on your eyes and really help to hold on eye shadows. Also if you're using a powder, get your applicator a little damp, that can also help it to last longer.

My Bobbi Brown eyeshadow lasts until I wipe it off at night! I use the cream that already has a primer in it, and then brush some powder over top. If you go to Nordstrom's they'll show you how to do your wedding makeup. 

All of my makeup is Bobbi Brown, and even though it was a bit expensive...it's SO worth it! It's made for sensitive skin, and their products last forever.  

I've heard other good things about bobby brown makeup so I may have to check that out!!! :-)

bobbi brown and nars eyeshadows are lasting all day impeccably. for the wedding I suggest bobbi brown since they are more neutral in shades. but both companies offer great quality

Makeup Forever and MAC both have a setting spray. You spray it on your whole face before and after you apply your makeup. It will make everything last and last. I cant recommend it enough.

As for the eyeshadow, yes Bobbi Brown, MAC, MUFE and NARS all are really really great brands and their eyeshadows will last a while. You could get what you need from ebay but remember to read the reviews becase it is really really hard to tell if things are real.

I would also recommend this site for cheap cosmetics. I have ordered off them a few times, great customer service and genuine products. www.allcosmeticswholesale.com they dont have everything but you can find great deals.

Are you using a primer?  That usually will help quite a bit.  (You can pat it over your lid and under your lower lashline and it will help prevent fading/creasing.)  Two of the top ones are Urban Decay Primer Potion and Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

Urban Decay also has stellar shadows. :)

I prefer using MAC Shadows the best. Not only are they long lasting, but they just have so many shade options to choose from for various needs and different faces, ethnicities, and tones. 

For primer, I tend to gravitate towards the all so famous, Urban Decay Primer Potion or enjoy using MAC Paint Pot in Painterly (because it creates a clean/nude/flesh tone canvas to work on)

Use a primer!  That will allow the eyeshadow to stick without a problem.  I used a Stila eyeshadow palette, and it lasted from 11 a.m. until I took it off in the evening, and my eyes still looked good.

I feel ya! My makeup used to never stay on until I started investing in base products and primers. My make-up life changed at that point!

For eyes, I'm using Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer, it comes in a little purple tube with a silver screw on cap, and it's quite expensive. However, you need the tiniest drop for each eye! It comes out a whitish cream that you apply to the eyelid with your fingertips, and creates a matte base onto which your eyeshadow goes. The eyeshadow just doesn't budge after that. Go to a good dept. store and ask for a trial application and then put eyeshadow on and see how you go throughout the day?
