Hi ladies,

We're having an outdoor wedding in October. I was on farmersalmanac searching for the weather for the last few years and the average weather is 72 high temp low temp 55 and average weather 63 degrees.

We already booked the venue, but now I am worried it might be too cold.

What do you think?

People can wear sweaters!!

I think fall is a beautiful time for a wedding and I'm sure people will be prepared for slightly lower temperatures xx

I think it sounds great, but maybe you could provide a basket of pashminas or blankets. Here are some I've seen:

And I know right now you can get warm fuzzy fleece blankets at WalMart for just a few dollars each. I'm sure they will probably get marked down even cheaper as the season goes on. Just something to consider.

I don't think I am going to purchase those just because our budget is tight already. I am going to see if we can change the date. Thank you.

Trust me, people will be prepared for colder temperatures.  And there's no telling what the weather may actually be like until closer to that day.

party rental supply companies have space heaters that are silver and look like torchiere floor lamps.  they are meant to be outdoor and dont look bad.  you could price this option if you think the weather will be too cool.  most people that attend outdoor wedding will prepare for the weather.  in the odd case that someone was ill prepared, they can try to stay close the few heaters that you have around the area.  if you are getting party supplies from a rental co already, then it may be cheaper still because of the size of your order.

another option...if this is a location that has had many weddings, then the person you are dealing with should be able to let you know what other parties have done around the same time of year.  this will give you some more ideas.

DH and I were married in Central New Jersey in October and despite what the Farmer's Almanac had said about it being cold, it actually turned out to be pretty comfortable.  We were not married outside, but many of our guests had brought light sweaters just in case.

Some of our bridal party went out after the reception to NYC and it was a little cool - I wore a 3/4 sleeve sweater shirt that was not heavy at all, and I was more than comfortable.  : )

Hi dearest! Awww. . .you are going to change your date? Two years ago my DH's cousin had his wedding outside in October. The weather was so gorgeous it was crazy and everyone who wore a sweater or jacket had to take it off!
