who's already saving? with out without your man knowing, who setting $$ aside for that big day?

my goal is to have 5,000 more in saving by next year...we'll see how that goes though... i'm still keeping my fingers crossed that my dad will pay for everything, so i can use our savings for a house :)

Oooh! That is quite a plan. I planned on saving $75 per paycheck... still planning on it... haven't started it yet... I would really like to start though. Even though I plan to DIY a lot, weddings can still cost a lot... and we both have a ton of family. And I know that my pops isn't going to spend much on it... since FI and I are living together in sin and all! This will be all on us... soooo... I will start saving soon! :)

I started socking money away without a ring but he knows.  As of right now there's about $5,000 in our wedding fund.  He bought a house back in August and we too are living in sin but he pays the mortgage/utilities and i save for the wedding since we'll probably be paying for 90% of it ourselves

I hope soo... I mean, until there is a ring I think that is all I will save. It could increase once there is a obtainable goal in mind.

you guys are too cute "sin living" LOL!!!  ...me and my FFI are in talks about living together, as much as I want him around ALL THE TIME, I'm really afraid to make that step!  gosh i'm so particular and it drives me crazy when he leaves the toilet seat up :)

but getting back to subject, no I haven't started a fund, but thats really a great idea!!!

Steblue I have a cat that sits on the toilet lid... and if it isn't closed, she falls in... how convienent that he HAS to put the seat down... ;)

I have started putting money away in the wedding fund.  At least when he does ask I can say, I already have some money saved and we can get married sooner rather than later.

I have enough saved to pay for our entire wedding, but that's only because my mom just passed away and her retirement/life insurance is paying for the wedding, our house down payment and mortgage for a while, and payments on student loans. :(
