wedding gift for groom

i got him a really nice watch after we got engaged, so we decided not to exchange gifts for the wedding, since we were both very happy with our ring/watch. we're putting whatever money we would have spent on a wedding gift towards the honeymoon!

Abatty - I like the cufflink idea for his gift to the GM...where did you get the poker card cuff links...Manchester UTd??

He got some of the cufflinks at www.cufflinks.com. I don't think they're the cheapest place to go, but they had most of what DH was looking for. I got the gear shift cufflinks from www.cuffdaddy.com.

For the Manchester Uts cufflinks, I'm not sure where he got them. I know he had to go through a different site.

I'm also thinking of a few different things.  As I was putting together the bathroom baskets, I realized that the guys (Groom and GM) may need some of this stuff too while they're getting ready.  I'm now planning to make them a "basket" of goodies and necessities (snacks/candy, lint roller, hair gel, stain remover pen, black socks).  I'll have it sent over once they all get to the hotel to hang-out and get ready.

I really wanted to get the "In case you get cold feet" socks, but I decided to give FI socks with a DIY tag with the saying instead.  This way, FI will actually wear the socks...the concept/idea gets acrossed and the socks won't just be a novelty thing.

I'm also on the hunt for the perfect cufflinks for FI.  He's pretty picky selective when it comes to fashion...so I may not find the "right" ones.
