Wedding Party treatment...

I was the personal attendant in a wedding for a good friend this past weekend. Talk about making the non-BM/GM feel like second class citizens - it was very strange:

We were asked to ride in the limo with the rest of the wedding party after the ceremony, but when the photographer called for "the entire wedding party" one of the BMs yells out "You just want the actual wedding party right, not these guys?"

And then when we got to the reception we were told "You guys need to wait outside, the DJ isn't announcing you." They didn't want us to sneak in ahead of time and find seats with our SOs...we literally had to wait until after the 'actual' wedding party was announced for some reason.

The ushers and I thinking of starting a support group :)

That is odd, I think those who help out in any aspect are as important if not more important than the wedding party. 

VEry odd! Sucks that you were treated that way! Whats even more odd is that one of the BM took it upon herself to treat you that way! Horrible! Support group is necessary! :)

If it were me, I would have been very hurt.  I'm sorry you had to experience this.

Yea, totally weird!! They should have at least let you in ahead of time and not made you feel awkward!

Yeah...it's not a super huge deal but strange enough I wanted to share...I just drank some more wine and all was well that night :)

was the BRIDE saying anything? i would have told that BM to kick rocks. and then i would have tripped her on her entrance while i was waiting for the "real" party to enter. people like her infuriate me
