I wonder if it's just me....if I'm the only one so excited about finally having my dream wedding.....that I get slightly flustered at the thought of others who are engaged stealing my ideas.  I have a sketch of my dress that I have been dying to post....I want to show off the rough draft of my cake.  I want you to see the demo pair or shoes my friend made....I just don't want the cat completely out of the bag.  Should I post these treasures or mine ladies?  Am I being too stingy?  Or does anyone really care enough to snatch my photos?

I COMPLETELY understand. I am the same way. There were things I had for my vow renewal this past August. I posted about these things a long time ago and then it seems that every tom dick and harry now has to have them.

Personally, I say keep them to yourself and if you do decide to share them, only share them to people who you know won't take the ideas.

I know you won't.  I have the skecth of that dress that I wanted you to see.  & I don't want my cake leaked either.  After the wedding I don't really care.  I just don't want my stuff to be EVERYWHERE.  I thought it was just me, lol  I feel better now (:

No, it's not just you. I really wish I would have kept some things a secret. We are doing a second vow renewal. There are things now that I will keep secret. Well I might tell a few people, but I know those people won't say anything.

I wouldn't call it theft...but flattery!  It's highly unlikely that you will be attending the same wedding/renewl as others on this site, and sharing ideas is a.)fun for you and b.)helpful to others - a win/win idea!  Go ahead, share and help your fellow brides :-)

Im with TheChicBride on this one. As much as I would LOVE to see your sketches, I know how it feels to have your ideas "stolen" before you can use them. What I've done is removed my pictures on my bio, changed it to friends only and I only post certain things. I share a lot through PM since for me it seems like a more genuine connection and I feel like I get honest feedback that way. If I am in a AW mood then I go to the main forum or if I want to see what the masses on PW would think about a particular topic. But whenever you are ready know the vow renewal ladies are here:)

I'm actually in the process of doing that myself.  Especially because we've paced ourselves the way that we did.  I'll be a PW Lady for a few more years and I really don't want to have my things used before I even get the chance to.  I've met great people and I enjoy talking to them.  So that's why I love it here.  So tell me what you think?

Yes I see you are going to be here for a while...another reason for me to stick around :) I agree take it slowly and keep adding inspirations to your PW bio and when you are ready we will all be waiting:)
