Good morning ladies

Yes I'm still here...still pregnant...41 weeks 4 days to be exact.  

Physically I can't complain, I feel pretty darn good for how pregnant I am and for how hot it's been.  Mentally on the other hand it's been a tough week.  They tell you going into it that an EDD is just that, an estimate.  But they really don't prepare you for how it feels to hit that date and then a day..2 days...3 days etc etc beyond it.  It's hard when everyone around you, even those due weeks after you are having their babies and you haven't.  If I hear one more time "Seriousy! You haven't had that baby yet!!" I just might explode! I know it comes from a good place and everyone is VERY excited to meet little H, but come on people I'm not holding back on purpose I swear. Phew! ok mini rant over :)

At my 41 week appt my fluid checked out beautifully and I was a whopping 1cm dialated 50% effaced.  My Dr and I decided that if I hadn't gone into labor naturally than I would head into the hospital Wed evening at 7:30 for an induction.  As frustrating as being overdue as it is, I really would like to avoid an induction so we agreed that as long as baby is fine we'll give my body the maximum time to get this process rolling on it's own before we hit 42 weeks.  The fun silver lining to all of this is that if I do have to be induced chances are she would be born on Thursday, which happens to be DH's birthday :)

I'll keep you all posted, until then I hope everyone that is still pregnant is feeling well and those who have just delivered are happy and home snuggling those little bundles!!

Good Morning! I completely understand your rant. Today is my due date (40 weeks!) and everyone keeps saying "you're still here" or "feel any different." I can't imagine dealing with this for another 2 weeks! Saturday she was super low and moving like crazy, then Sunday and today barely anything. The doc said the heartbeat was fine today, but call if I don't feel 10 movements by 4pm. As of right now, I think I am going to have to call and go in for a NST. Very worried, but it was reassuring that her heartbeat was good. I really don't want to be induced so hopefully everything is ok. 

Have had any OJ? My dr told me if I didnt think I was feeling enough movement to have some cold water or OJ and go sit or lay down quietly for 30-60 min. Sometimes they're sleeping or you get busy and miss the movements. They do say they get a bit quieter right before the big show so you never know, but definitely call if you're concerned.
I'm headed in for an NST today at 12:45. My little lady is still moving around in there pretty good, this is just a standard "you're way overdue lady so we're monitoring you/baby" appt.

Yep - I have the ice water, OJ, apple juice and candy bars, but still not much. She has had quiet days before, but then back to normal the next. 2 days in a row is abnormal so I am worrying now, but she is likely ok. Maybe she will just come today instead! haha - I have the overdue NST for next Monday.

Becca - I'm so sorry that you're going through this emotionally. But I'm glad you're physically feeling really good! Especially in this heat. I hope little H makes an appearance soon!!

Nancy - Let us know how your NST goes. I'm sure it's b/c she's dropped and she's going to come soon! I know a few days before I delivered I felt like I had dropped and didnt feel her move as much as I had  before.

As for me - my little Maggie is a week old today! I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. I am loving mommy hood (minus the severe lack of sleep!). I am amazed at how much I love my little girl. I knew I would love her but the feelings you have are just incredible. Can't wait til everyone gets to experience that :)
But that's all for now - she's waking up from a nap and mommy needs to nurse her so my boob doesnt feel like it's going to explode lol

Becca and Nancy - You poor things. I'm still a ways away but I've heard that it gets tough emotionally at the very end.  We are all rooting for you and the babes. Keep us updated on your progress. 

Andrea - I can't wait to experience that feeling you described. Maggie is a cutie pie!

I'm 31 weeks 3 days and feeling great aside from certain days when the heat is unbearable. Last Friday we had a high risk ultrasound to check baby's heartbeat.  The heartbeat looks good which puts me at ease. We decided on a place to live finally. We'll be moving mid August, about a month before my due date. So now we are ordering the baby's furniture and getting that sort of thing together. That's all for me!

Hi All!

Ella is 10 days old now!! Gosh it goes by so quick!! Breastfeeding and pumping did not work out for me, I was devastated but I guess it was not meant to be.  The pain was unbearable duriing breastfeeding, the hospital gave me the run around with a lactation consultant that never visited me and Ella developed jaundice b/c she was not feeding well. Hearing that broke my heart, I felt responsible and we immediately started supplementing with formula.  Tried pumping and wasn't feeling it.  Now we r trying to find a formula that Ella is comfortable with.  She was getting constipated and fussy, but I think we found one that agrees with her..I hope at least.  Last doctor appt. she was back to her birth weight and the jaundice was gone. I am also loving mommy hood but I feel like the biggest worry wort! Haha.

Oh my goodness!  41 weeks 4 days?  Fx that you go soon!  

I just went to my OB appt today...currently 31 weeks 4 days.  Everything is perfect!  I'm measuring 100% on track and feeling awesome.  Only complaint is it's freaking hot!  But I'd be complaining even if I weren't preggo. haha

Still checking things off the to do list for DD's nursery and having way too much fun finding cute things on Pinterest to do.

DH and I decided on a pediatrician and finished our birth plan.  My first shower is in 2 and a half weeks and I cannot WAIT!  It's hard to nest when I'm anxiously awaiting all of the shower gifts :)

Hi all I have been reading your posts but it'snot east typing with son who only wants to sleep on me in the day!!

Marcus is 2 months old today and I can't believe how fast it has gone. He is a happy baby and has started to smile and 'talk' to us making lots of noises. He sleeps well and has done a 7 hr stretch since 3 weeks old - yes I am touching wood - and hope it continues!!

Breastfeeding for us has been a struggle but me being stubborn has kept me going, and we are now mostly BF all day with expressed BM top ups and formula at night. I will do a post on our breastfeeding journey in a separate post.
