Things have been so busy here - congrats to our new mommies!  Looking forward to the birth stories and updates from the ladies that are due this week!

I'm 30w1d and finally made some significant progress on preparing for the baby.  On Saturday we went to a furniture store and ordered a crib, dresser, hutch, toddler conversion kit, mattress and changing pad.  Everything arrives on June 12th so we have until then to clean out our spare bedroom and repaint.  Then we went to Buy Buy Baby out in New Jersey and spent a lot of time looking at strollers, bassinets, cloth diapers, etc.  so I think we're pretty much ready to start putting together the registry.  My baby shower is super late (I'll be 38 weeks) so in general I'm just a bit later than most with all of this stuff :)

I also had my OB appointment last week - I'm measuring right on track for pretty much everything.  My weight is on "the higher side of normal" but my doctor says I started out at a very healthy weight for my height so she's not concerned.  We also had a good talk about labor and delivery so I'm feeling better about that.  Overall, just trucking along over here.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Sounds like things are going well, Veronika!

I am 29 weeks today. We had a tour of the L&D unit and postpartum unit of the hospital this weekend. It was good to know where to go and what to do exactly when it comes time. I am actually very impressed with the hospital menu! haha! Other than that, we are slowly working on the nursery still and hope to have the construction part done this week. I am still feeling fine - except the times I can't breathe!

Sounds like you accomplished quite a lot Veronika!! All your things arrive on my due date! : ) I can't wait to see what you picked out! Painting will be fun, I had a blast painting Baby Sunshine's nursery!

Nancy, I'm glad the menu looks good. Food is important! : ) Also glad the tour put you at ease!

Let's see: I will be 35 weeks tomorrow. I had the carpet cleaners come out Friday morning to clean our bedroom, the nursery, mini hall and stairs carpet. They will clean the downstairs carpets this week on Wednesday or Thursday.

Hubby put together the crib and changing table Saturday night. He tried to put the dresser together but a piece broke so I have to call so a replacement can be sent. The room looks so neat now even with the two pieces in there! I haven't brought up the ottoman and glider from the guest bedroom yet but will do so this week. I definitely see that I am going to have to rearrange my layout now that I see some of the things built.

I will be buying more things with the gift cards I received at my shower. I already purchased the Angelcare deluxe monitor, burp clothes, clear safety outlets, My Little Snugabunny swing and Baby Einstein stationary entertainer and activity center all with gift cards! The only really big ticket item left on my BRU is the Chicco playard. We'll get that next, but waiting on my completer discount or sale. My Ameda breast pump is still showing on there but my friend gave me a brand new Medela PIS breast pump at my shower so I think I'll be using that! The hospital gave it to her for her daughter because she had complications, but she also had medical condition that she chose not to breastfeed due to the type of medication she had to take for her condition. The pump was an unexpected blessing and though it is different from the one I registered for, I am grateful to have received it. Not only that, she bought me a lot of stuff too! She said since the breast pump didn't cost her anything, she didn't really feel like it was my gift, just a bonus. : )

I have a lot of pain trying to turn over at night and getting out of bed, but other than that, the only thing I really feel is sheer exhaustion! It's like I can't get enough sleep!

My toes and fingers look like little sausages! Lol! Especially my left foot. It seems to be perpetually swollen! My fingers don't look as bad, but I had to buy a fake band because I can't fit my rings now. My right foot doesn't seem too bad at all. It's just weird seeing these body changes! : )

Veronika- Yay for getting things crossed off that list!

Nancy- I feel you on the breathing, I feel like an 80 year old women some days- not fun!

I am 31w1d.  DH and I spent some time building a dresser for the nursery this weekend.  Things are really coming along in there.  I also found out that my sister and mom will be hosting my baby shower on June 9th, which I'm super excited for :)  I spent a bit of time researching baby carriers this weekend and ended up ordering the Boba 3G carrier as well as a Baby K'tan for newborn baby-wearing.  I'm really excited about these carriers and just hope my LO will like to be carried, lol!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Nina, I registered for the Boba 3G too on my amazon registry. I didn't get it but I'm planning to buy it. I picked Tweet. What did you pick? Did you know you can use the Boba for newborns too?

I forgot to include in my update that last night I had a scare. I aspirated and it was really weird. It was a lot more this time than a couple months ago and it totally freaked me out. I hope it doesn't happen again!

Good morning, ladies! Sounds like you all are kicking butt on getting things done!

I'm 38w4d and getting contractions here & there. Some nights, I feel like my body is ready to go but then it's always a false alarm. I'm lucky in that besides all the braxton's & contractions, I feel great. Definitely wouldn't say I'm miserable, which so many ladies do.

Since stopping work, I've been relaxing and cleaning around the house. I love having this time before baby comes! After I knock off the last items from my to-do list, I'm indulging in one last prenatal massage and a pedicure! Hopefully all that foot & leg massaging will trigger something and my next update will be with a baby in tow! :)

Deneen, sounds like you are getting a lot done around the house too!  I picked the Glacier color for our carrier, so it's kind of plain- just grey and black but I wanted something neutral.  If we were having a girl, I think I would have picked the Soho pattern which is super cute but a little girly :)  I really like the Tweet one you chose as well!  I do know that you can use it for newborns, but some reviews I read said it was still a bit too big for their newborns, so you never know?  Also, I really wanted a wrap-style carrier to have as well, since they are so compact and lightweight and decided on the Baby K'tan since it doesn't have miles of fabric to tie around me.  I also think it'll work well since I'm pretty petite, I've heard the Moby/Sleepy wraps can have a lot of extra fabric dragging around since they are one-size fits all.

Good morning everyone. I'm 20w3d. After telling my boss about my pregnancy last week, I told the rest of my coworkers. I am so relieved to let go of that secret. I am feeling great for the most part. This weekend I went shopping for maternity clothes. I am still in a weird in-between stage and I'm looking forward to having a nicer bump to show off! I don't have much to report because I haven't started shopping or taking classes. My 20 week ultrasound is in two days. I can't wait to see the baby again and to find out the gender!

Nancy - glad you're feeling well and enjoyed the hospital tour.  I really need to schedule ours!

Deneen - I can't wait to see the photos from Baby Sunshine's room!  I also have to say that June 11th is a GREAT day to have a baby (my birthday :)  It sounds like you're truly in the nesting phase with everything you're doing!

Nina - That's great that you're getting the nursery done!  I haven't started with the research about baby carriers yet - there is a store near us that specializes in carriers of all types and cloth diapers so I have to get DH to head over there with me one of these days.  I love the idea of baby-wearing.

Karen - it seems like either you or Kendra are next! I really think you made the right choice to stop working a little earlier than you expected.  Definitely enjoy that massage and pedicure!!

Jackie - Looking forward to hearing if you're having a boy or girl!  I also didn't really start showing until past the 1/2 way point in my pregnancy - even now at 30 weeks I'm still pretty small.  You'll get that bump eventually!

I will be 38 weeks on Wednesday. We have every thing ready except for a couple last minute items to throw in the hospital bag. At my appointment last week I was 2cm and 75% effaced. Hoping that my midwife will do a membrane sweep to hopfully get things moving. I've been having contractions but can't get them close enough together to go in for. Otherwise I've been feeling pretty well except for the sciatic pain.

Glad to hear everyone is going well and getting a lot accomplished!
