Good evening ladies! 

DH and I had a fairly relaxing Sunday and we officially have been in our home 1 year.  It is absolutely amazing how fast the time has gone.  We are still waiting to hear if he is going to get a new position that he interviewed for on the 3rd.  Still FX!! 

We talked today about FINALLY (not a full one) going on a mini-moon for our 2-year anniversary and we are hoping to find a bed-and-breakfast in a little town south of Buffalo so we can have a weekend away and also to go and visit my Mom's grave, as DH never got a chance to meet her and he was the one who brought this up.  I just<3 him so!

Other than that, things are still pretty crazy - we are still slowly, but surely getting things done around the house and I'm working like a dog trying to make up for loss of work in my first job.  We all I'm sure can relate to that.  Hope that our economy starts to pick up and quickly.  : )

So exciting that you and your DH have been in your home a whole year! And the mini-moon at a B&B sounds so relaxing--just the break you need after all that working. How sweet that your sweetie wants to visit your Mama's grave. Isn't it funny how they can just blow you away with their thoughtfulness sometimes? FX here that your hubby gets that new position!!

It's been busy here as well. We went up to the lake this past weekend to visit my Mama (she has a little place and a boat there). It was lovely to hang out on the water in the sunshine. I feel like summer has just totally passed me by this year with all the wedding craziness!

Other than that, it's just been work and sleep. I work 12 hour shifts, so that's pretty much all there's time for when I'm on my 3 day stretches back to back. I get four days off here starting tomorrow, but DH will be working (opposite schedules stink!), so I'll probably work in the landscaping a bit, do some cleaning/laundry, veg by myself. Maybe a good time to work on some of my DIY pins from Pinterest! There are so many cool projects for the house that I've been wanting to make.

As a side note, I'm so glad that this group has started weekly updates...I'm begining to feel like I don't much fit in on the wedding forum anymore now that my life doesn't include that particular activity anymore:(

Morning ladies! I know I'm behind on this but Mon I was exhausted from our weekend camping and took a personal day. Speaking of camping, we had a blast at the lake! It was really nice spending the weekend with DH's family. It was something they used to do every summer and stopped years ago with life getting too busy but one of DH's cousins organized the trip and we're planning next summer's trips already!

DH started a new job yesterday so we're adjusting to a new schedule where he's working Tues - Sat. Additionally, his Dr ordered an MRI due to migraines he gets. FX it's nothing serious.

Becca - congrats on the 1 yr in your home, that must be a lovely milestone as well as planning a mini-moon! :)

Ashley - what a fun weekend it sounds like you had! And I bet it was nice to just hang out and visit w/ your Mom now that wedding crazyness has sizzled out?! :)

Congrats for the 1-year in you home Becca and FX for your DH position. Ashley & Ashley, seems like you had amazing weekend!

This week is pretty calm my way. I actually have to kick my a$$ and write my thesis project because my director is coming back from her summer vacations on august 27th...and I have to give her 25 pages of text. Since I only have 2 pages written...I really need to focus on this.

But in the mean time, I feel a bit like Ashley (littlebit) about the summer that is almost already gone without me enjoying it. So I really don't feel like sitting in front of my computer all day...:(

Other than this, we have a honeymoon-recap-dinner scheduled with friends on Friday, and a wedding-recap-dinner with my godmother and my parents on saturday. So please, weekend, come faster!!!!!

Okay I am new to this forum so please forgive my ignorace but I have to ask a few things.  So far I have been able to determine that FI means fiance'...right? However, I can't figure out what DH means.  Something husband maybe?  Sorry it's just been driving me crazy.

Darling Husband! I knew that one! lol Unless I'm wrong!

So Mike (My hubby) and I had our AHR on Saturday and WHEW! am I glad that is done! It went quite well only because it is over. The stress was getting to me quite a bit.

Otherwise things are slow. Work is work but Mike is starting school next month! That's exciting!

My next big project is figuring out how to buy a house or more officially buying a house! I know we can afford it once our lease is up but I'm not sure where to start! Already its hectic lol

Otherwise we're saving up for a honeymoon hopefully next year but we're not sure if we want a house or honeymoon! Got some time to think tho!

Thank you for that!  It's good to know these things...however, I'm sure you are going to laugh...what is AHR?  I don't have the acroynymns down just yet. 

Good luck in your honeymoon planning and house searching.  Both are very exciting adventures and I hope you find a home that is warm and inviting and create a honeymoon that sizzles and spices ;-)
