Here's our thread for the FIRST FULL week of 2013!  : )

Hi ladies! Happy New Year :)

Not much has been going on here. I'm working on taking down our Christmas tree and decorations today. So sad! I love the holiday season and I'm kind of sad that it's over. 

The only good thing is that the food tempation is gone. OMG girls I seriously overdosed on cheese and crackers and sweets this holiday season. SO BAD! I'm trying to detox myself this week and hit up the gym as much as I can. Bleh.

Rania, I feel the same about all the eating over the holidays... I really need to substitute the choc and crackers by a lot of fruit and veggies :-) LOL!

I went back to work yesterday and it's already stressing me out after 2 days! No time for PW and I don't like that :-(

Our LO is learning to walk and he loves his little carriage to hold himself and walk through the apartment. I wonder when he will take his first steps alone and I'm very excited about it!

After weeks of grey weather the sun is finally shining today and I'd rather be outside for a walk than sitting at the office.

I'm also glad holidays are over because of these tons of foods you got everywhere *lol*
I deifinitely have now eat tons of veggies and fruits and have to go to the gym to compensate all the sugar and fat - oh damn I love chocolate :(

@Rania  I will also taking down all the christmas decoration this week. On the one hand it's sad but I also looking forward to the spring/summer ;)

@Olivia  OMG how cool is it to see LO's first steps walking alone. I bet you are so proud of this little man!

As for me, I'm back at work since last Wednesday and for luck it's not too busy here as the most customers have still holiday this week. But nevertheless I#m looking forward to my next holidays at the beginning of Feb. as we will move then over into our new house. EEEEEKKK I'm soooo excited. Between the holidays we already bought new wallpapers and color for the walls and looked for new furniture as we need a new table for the kitchen.
I will post pics soon as we are in the house. At the moment I only have a few on my cell phone with bad quality :/
The rest of the week will be quiet for luck but Manuel and I will already pack things into boxes which we don't need so they were ready to move into our new home :)

Hello ladies! I have been MIA and missing my second family so much! Happy New Year.

@Rania - My tree is still up too! Lol. I think we will finally take it down and put it out in the trash this upcoming weekend. 

@Olivia - Awww! Make sure you post pictures or a video when he takes his first steps! 

@Kathrin - So happy everything is progressing nicely with the house move!!! I can't wait to see pictures! This month is going to fly by and before you know it, you will be in your new home!

As for me, we said our goodbye's to DH's brother Saturday. He passed away right before the New Year. I am at work thinking how I want to be anywhere but here and honestly I am so over my job. In fact, I am over working in this field period. The owner and the manager have seriously been on my last nerves for a little bit now and things are coming to a head. I feel myself ready to explode and I despise coming to work. The owner was gone for a couple of days moving her daughter to New York and while she was gone, a snow plow crashed through the front of our building. Me and the Program Coordinator handled everything well, because the manager was on vacation as well when the incident occurred. The owner calls the manager and I have told my manager repeatedly sometimes things said between them should stay between them and tells me and the Program Coordinator that if they were here, the incident would not have happened. How was she supposed to stop that? It was a freak accident and lucky she wasn't here because the most damage was done in her office! Then her desk got broken and she blamed it on two other employees and said that she hated all of us and we were not worth anything. It makes everything she did for Christmas mean absolutely nothing and she should be happy no one was injured! The owner is a control freak and my manager is weak and childish. She should not have repeated what the owner said and everytime I ask her for direction in something, she hollers at the top of her lungs and curses. When I handle things then her and the owner act like I am trying to overthrow the company. Just mentally tired of this job and want to do something totally different.

Olivia, That is amazing about your baby. They grow up so fast! My youngest is 12.

Rania, I am very heavy and I had no choice, but to behave over the holidays. I wish I could have just enjoyed myself. But a 10 lb gain when you weigh 260 is huge.

My tree is still up and I don't plan on taking it down until the weekend before Imbolc also known as St. Brighid's Feast and Ground Hog's Day.

My hubby and I had a great date night on Friday.

I went out with my baby Sis and my SIL Saturday and that was a ton of fun!

We are still working on various vow renewal decorations.

It sounds like all of you have had much more exciting holidays than myself. I am glad you found the time to post here!

Ello Lovelies!

@RaniaK: As much as I love Holidays, I'm also glad they're over. We had dinners/parties every night from December 23th to January 2nd so in the end, I was tired, sick of the food and mostly annoyed by people compagny!! As soon as I could (January 3rd) I put my Tree down just to make sure Christmas was over!!!

@Olivia: Awwwww, you must be so proud of your LO!!! And when they start walking, it's as if they explode in everyhing. In no time he'll be running around the house and talking like crazy I'm sure!

@Kathryn: The new house is SOOOOOO exciting! I can't wait to see pictures of it. I'm sure it will be gorgeous!

@Tressy: Looks like your superiors are a piece of work...and I can understand why you don't want to wake up and go to work anymore! Are you considering quitting soon?

As for ourself, we're having a pretty stressfull week. I just let Zac (our dog) at the vet this morning for his first leg operation. He was so stressed and it broke my heart to leave him there, even though I know it's for his best and that they'll take care of him. If everything goes well, we should be able to bring him back home tomorrow :). But the vet told me the first week would be hell. The wound will be exposed so there will be a lot of blood that will flow, it will be swollen, and it will hurt. Poor baby...! But in the last couple of weeks he was having trouble walking so I know we made the right choice by doing this operation. Can't wait to have the call this afternoon telling me that everything went great!!!!

Oh no Pascale - I cross my fingers for Zac that everything goes well with the operation and that he will be getting better soon. It's definitely the right decision that you take this way even it is hard to see that he have severe pain.

Tressy your like a little hero to me that you haven't quit your job already. This is soooo outrageous of your superiors and must be also very frustrating for you. I hope they will finally see what they have with you - such a wonderful employee!!!

FX Honey that this is all will still have a happy ending :) !!!

Sounds like everyone is back to their hectic schedules after the holidays!

@Rania -we took our tree/decorations down on Sunday -so depressing!! Christmas goes by WAY too quickly!

@Olivia -yay for your lo learning to walk! I don't know what I'll do when Megan starts becoming more mobile -it's been nice knowing that she can't get into too much trouble ;)

@Tressy -So sorry to hear about your BIL -*hugs* and that your job is causing you stress. Hope it gets better soon.

@Bridie -I honestly wish I could keep my tree up all year long!

@Pascale -Awww, poor Zac -I hope he feels better soon!

We're back in Nova Scotia after spending Christmas at my parents' in Ontario. It's been weird being back since I've been so used to getting help with Megan now it's back to being just the two of us while DH is at work.

We're starting to plan our trip to England in February -DH's whole family is there (he moved to Canada almost 5 years ago to be together :) and they haven't met Megan yet -she'll be 6 months old on Saturday! Time flies! Speaking of Megan, she's just discovered her voice... and oh boy has she discovered it lol! She shrieks so loudly that my ears actually ring afterward!
