I'm resting so far today, doing a little bit of work and I have the heating pad on my back. I'm trying to take it easy this week because of my back and hopefully get in to see the doctor for some medicine.  : /

Other than that, I'm loving our living room renovation and I'm hoping to start working on some recipes for the Wifeys in the Kitchen group.  : )

Happy Pink Week Becca! What's going on with your back? I hope you get some meds soon!

I was out of commission good part of the weekend. I had a very early morning appt with my ob/gyn, 6:30 am to be exact. Trying to figure out best time for me to have my hysterectomy. He said my uterus is dangerously low and soon I won't be able to walk. Just trying to figure out finances because I will be off work for at least two months.

I hope both of you get the care you need!!

We are just packing up the rest of the week. DH is off work sick today :( my throat has been scratchy all weekend, but nothing too bad. It's true that men are big babies when they're sick though. lol. Moving on Saturday and leading my work team on Sunday for the Making Strides for Breast Cancer Walk!

Tressy - I did a very STUPID thing last Sunday and picked up an end table improperly and I have pulled my lower back.  I have been trying to treat it myself, but it is time to call the doctor and get some pain meds. 

I hope you are doing okay - what did the doc say? Did you get a date for surgery yet? I am keeping you in my prayers and sending good positive healing vibes your way.

Elise - YAY, you are almost moved!!!  Awww, I hope DH gets better soon and you too!  Take some vitamin C!  That is so awesome that you are participating in Strides.  Our Strides event is the 21st.  We are not walking this year, but will hopefully do so next year.  We do Relay For Life, which is for all cancers as you know.  Can't wait to see pics from the event!!!

Hi!!

This is my first time posting in this group as a Mrs.- Wow!!

We just got back from our honeymoon. Although I'm a little jet lagged, I am really happy to be home and to get back into a normal routine. We're still in the process of "moving" into our home. There are boxes everywhere and it's slight chaos. UGH. Part of me is regretting all the things I registered for because now I have to figure out how I'm going to arrange everything and decorate, lol. Luckily, my mom is coming over later to help me so hopefully I can make some progress. 

The one thing I am dreading about confronting now that we're home is my job situation. I'm a lawyer and I quit my job a few weeks before our wedding. I was miserable. I would be at work from 8:30 AM until midnight most nights. There was no way I wanted to start off life as a married couple barely seeing each other! I'm trying to figure out if I want to try and work for a smaller law firm so that the hours will be more manageable or if I want to go a different career route- kind of scary. 

Anyway, enough of my babbling! I hope everyone has a fabulous week!!

Hey Rania! Isn't it crazy how chaotic is right after the wedding and with moving and everything! It will be nice when things are back to normal :) And that is a bit scary about the whole job situation! But you definitley have the right mode of thinking, so good luck with your decision and finding a new job and everytyhing!

Becca-I saw on fb that you went to the hospital and are getting meds soon-that's good, hope it gets better!!

Hey ladies! I have missed a couple weeks in the group! Life is super hectic for me right now (like all of you!) 

Becca and Tressy - I am sending you both big hugs for your health issues. My heart goes out to you both <3

Elise - I'm excited for you with your move! Even though moving is the worst, it is such a great feeling to be settled in a new place with your DH! Just makes the new marriage feeling that much sweeter! 

Rania - Welcome, new MRS!!! :-) I think one of the most amazing things post-wedding is that you realize how much everything else kind of got put on hold while you were planning the wedding. The wedding takes up so much time, money and energy that you almost forget what it was like to focus on other things. I know I felt somewhat overwhelmed after the wedding. It was like everything I had somewhat neglected flooded my "to-do" list all at once! It was so brave of you to quit that draining job before it put a strain on your new marriage. I think it will be a rewarding decision for you, no matter what your new path is! :-) 

I am having a somewhat busy week at work, and I have been working on some photography and design projects after hours. Some of my friends and family are trying to encourage me to start a little side business, but I think I'm scared. I always think, "Who would pay me for my work?" LOL! But "favors" for friends and acquaintances are starting to take up a lot of my time, so I'm starting to consider it. EEK! Other than that, my MOH is getting married in a couple weeks and I am super busy getting a bunch of stuff ready for her wedding. And working out like crazy bc my dress miiiight be a little snug! ;-) 

Oh Becca feel better! Ouch! Did you get some medicine yet? As for me, I am waiting for my pap results to come back to make sure I don't have uterine cancer because he can't perfrom the hysterectomy if I do and he said my uterus is hanging lower than my last appointment and I really need to start getting ready for the surgery because I won't be able to walk if it gets lower. :  (

Hey Elise - Does Hubby feel better? That is great you are leading your team in the walk! Go Elise!!!

Hi Rania - Welcome back from your honeymoon that looked fantastic by the way and good luck with putting away all your goodies! Pray about what you want to do as far as the job situation and it you will be led in the direction you need to go in! I know this is a nervous but yet exciting time of your life as far as a new career move! What else would you want to do?

Hey msdl - Thanks for the support! And I say go for it with your business venture. You will be surprised at what may come from it! I want to see a pic of you in your dress for the wedding! I bet you look amazing!

Your honeymoon pics are just gorgeous and it sounds like you had an amazing time!!! While it feels overwhelming to have to unpack and get organized, my little piece of advice to you would be to take your time and everything will fall into place.  Your mom helping is definitely a plus and I'm sure that you are going to be so over the moon happy you will be once you have everything in place.  : )

GOOD FOR YOU to make an informed and positive choice about your job!!!!! I know how having to work 18 hour days can impact not only a marriage, but any relationship.  I am keeping you in my prayers for something to come along that is "made" for you. 

Elise - I did get my medicine this afternoon and after taking just one dose, I am feeling  100% better.  The doctor did tell me that I threw out my back and I just laughed at him, and said "Yea, I know" and proceeded to tell him what I do for a living.  He was very impressed. I then told him the only thing I couldn't do was to write myself a prescription.  LOL

Deb - I have been missing you on the boards!!!  You're thinking of becoming a photog??  AWESOME!!! I would definitely pay you to do some photo shoots with us.  I also hope that you will be able to spend more time with us here on the boards soon.  You are awesome for having such a great work ethic - I know I have told you before.  I don't know how you "train" the people around you, but that is a huge negative for me.  I have a pretty good schedule and then some of the people around here (mainly DH's family) think that because I work at home, I am always available.  You will have to give me some pointers on how to negate that attitude.  : )  AND...ditto what Tressy said about seeing pics of you in your MOH's wedding.  You are going to be beautiful!!!

Tressy - Yes, I sure did get some medicine.  The doctor gave me Percocet and Valium (not sure about the Valium - he said it was for me to relax so I could sleep).  I have just taken one Percocet and it has definitely started taking the pain away.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to sleep tonight.

Have you heard back from the doctor regarding your test results?  I'm definitely keeping you in my prayers!!!!
