I'm posting this early so I can go and check on a few things around our home.  My update is that this dumb storm is starting to get going now with really gusty winds.  This is just crazy.

Hope all of my fellow ladies who are dealing with this storm are safe and try and let us know how you are doing if you can.  (((hugs)))

Hi Becca! I'm thinking of you and all the ladies who are dealing with the storm... I hope you all stay safe!!!

This week is calmer than last week, and that is good. You won't believe it, but it snowed on the weekend, Saturday and Sunday, so crazy! I don't remember when we had snow this early. It's all white outside. But I'm glad the sun is shining today and it's getting a bit warmer again.

Thursday I probably see my mum, which I'm looking forward very much! And on Friday I go shopping with MIL. She wants to shop stuff for our LO and I hope she won't talk me into things I don't want... She always thinks she knows everything best and tends to be a bit stressful.. So hopefully that Friday she will be in a good mood...

Hi ladies!!

@Becca, you are definitely in my thoughts!! Hoping for safety for you guys!

@Olivia, snow--eep!!! I am hoping snow stays away from where I am for a while. It sounds like you have a fun week planned!

I have a few painting projects I need to get finished around the house. I also will be crafting my little heart out. I have been doing hair bows and headbands for about a year now, but with planning my wedding and my sisters wedding I never went really heavy into it. Just a few shows here and there, and word of mouth orders. I have a craft show this Saturday and then I think I finally will think about setting up an etsy shop.

Hi ladies!

Storm is coming in and I'm taking full advantage of my technology now. I'm crossing my fingers that we don't lose power for a while. Ugh.

Not much to report. It looks like this is going to be a pretty boring week thanks to the storm! Hubby and I are going to spend the day watching movies and relaxing. Seriously, thank God for Netflix!!! I'm trying to be positive about this and take it as a break from life (lol) but I know once the storm hits I won't be so chipper. My photographer did send us more pro pictures, so I'm sifting through those right now. I can't wait to share with you ladies.

@becca- Good luck with everything girl! I hope things don't get too bad by you. :( It's pretty freaky outside right now but nothing too bad yet. The wind sounds so CREEPY. xox

@olivia- Snow already?! Wow! I don't think I could handle that, haha. Have a wonderful time visiting with your mom and good luck shopping with MIL! I hope that she is pleasant and not nagging you. That's never fun.

@missjess- Good luck with all your projects! That is so exciting. You should definitely set up a shop on Etsy. That is wonderful!

I make my own greeting cards, so I am going to try to get my Thanksgiving cards started and finished this week (hopefully). Jim and I should be getting the results of his brain MRI today or tomorrow, so once we know what's going on, we'll at least have a direction to go or some answers regarding his TIAs (mini strokes).

Update on my Husband: The MRI results are in and he has not had TIAs (mini stroke). He had a small (but full) stroke in a small area of the front pariatal portion of his brain that affects his visual attention, touch perception, voluntary movements, and manipulation of objects. The doctor has him on Plavix to keep the blood clots from sticking to each other as they travel through the arteries.  We have an appointment with a neurologist, however, to "soonest" we can get an appointment is January 8, 2013.

@Becca and Rania--I hope you ladies are okay...that storm is just insane!

@Olivia--Snow already?  That's crazy!  I do wish we could get a little snow in my area, but it only happens rarely, which is a bit sad...

@Jess--You must let us know when you open a shop!  I'd love to see some of your work.

@Mel--I'm so sorry to hear about your husband.  I'll keep the two of you in my prayers (and pray that he can get in earlier than January 8th!).

I've been busy with work, as usual.  It's been a difficult year, but there's not much that I can do about it.  DH passed his alternative teacher's certification exam, and he's applying for jobs in the area; it would be awesome if he could start his internship in January, but we're not holding our breath.

The next big thing on my list is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month--I posted about it in the main forum).  I've never done it, but I have a few friends who have participated in the past.  I may be crazy for trying it this year, but I'm wanting something to do for myself since I'm spending so much of my time on everything else.  So here's to trying to write my first ever novel (of at least 50,000 words) in one month.  Dear Lord, what did I sign up for?!
