Weird - yes or no?

FI and I live about 2 hours north of where we grew up and are having wedding, along with most the wedding party. So we are going to go check out tuxes today, just me and him... Do you think this is weird? He wasnt with me dress shopping, am I alloewd to accompany him on this?!

i don't think its wierd? boys need female help in this sort of thing. i think its easier for us to please them with what we wear than it is for them to please us with what they wear. so totaly have a say in what he chooses! lord knows if i let my boy pick out everythign on his own, he'd be so lost!

yup!  although our FI's are grown men and can dress themselves, once they're confronted with all the options of one/two/three button jackets, pin stripes/no stripes, white shirts/ivory shirts, bow/ascot/long ties, tails/no tails, cumberbunds/vests, colors, etc, they freeze up.  plus they haven't been envisioning what their wedding day would look like for as long as we likely have.  so it's good to go along and help him.  he'll have an idea of what he wants but you can suggest alternatives if you don't think a red tux with tails would quite fit your idea of a dream wedding! ;)

NO lol. FI asked me what kind of tux he thought I should get, I told him to let my worry about that, I just need his measurements and his body to model them lol. He's soo loves the 80's look, so I'm trying to get him to keep his mouth closed! lol

No, I don't think it's weird at all. Like WMforever said, men need our help when it comes to things like this.

Newp, don't think it's weird.  I went with the FI to pick out a tux for himself, and then to find tuxes for the groomsmen to rent.

I wish I would have gone my my FI to do the tux thing but he is so stubborn (and i'm marrying into this? lol). i honestly don't trust him and now am worried about the tuxes he picked!!!

We went just to look at our options/ play around with colors (as you see in my other post) Its very helpful.  My FI told me I didn't have a say~ and I said over my dead body.  haha and of course Im glad I was there.  Our guys could care less, they just want to go to get fitted, not 'play' haha

it's not weird... i plan on going with my FI when he chooses his suit.  plus i think men would rather us help them out and offer our suggestions.  this will avoid any "why did you get that?" or any "you should haven't gotten this."
