Hello everyone! We have 4 group owners:

myself (aggiebride), starbux, Silverstar2011, and beccabride

If you have any questions, one of us should be able to answer, or feel free to ask the group on the group message board.

Please feel free to introduce yourself here, and let us know what your favorite book is (if you can manage to choose just one! :D)

I'll go!

My name is Amanda, and I am getting my degree in Secondary English Education, with a minor in Theater Education.

I have loved reading for a long time! My most recent favorite is "The Perk of Being a Wallflower" which I have read too many times to count.

I sometimes need motivation to read "big kid books" as I spend so much of my time working with Young Adult literature, and trying to find the motivation to read more than that can be trying.

I am so happy to meet all of you, and excited to read with you!

Hi , I'm Steph!

Even though I majored in English Studies in university, I'm sad to confess I haven't read very much lately :( I guess work and wedding planning have definitely been big factors.

I love chick lit, and I JUST finished Emily Giffith's Something Borrowed and Something Blue which I loved. I work at a daycare, so children's lit is one of my favourite genres; Dr. Seuss (I read The Lorax and Green Eggs and Ham to the kids today!) and Robert Munsch are a couple of my favourite authors. PW's Book Club is my first and I'm looking forward to reading with all of you :)

Hello.  I'm Tiffany.

I have a certificate in Early Childhood Education and I'm working on my Bachelor's Degree in either English or Psychology.

I'm obsessed with books.  I haven't purchased a Nook or Kindle yet because I have a hard time giving up the feel of holding a book and the smell of the paper from the pages of a book.  I adore children's literature from picture books up to young adult novels.  I'll read just about anything.  My taste in books is very ecclectic.  One day I'll read Jane Austen and then the next day I'll pick up a book by Neil Gaiman.  I also love Shakespeare.

I used to be a member of a book club on another wedding website but it was very big so I'm excited to start one here on PW.  I hope we'll have a more intimate book club feel here.  Let's have a great time reading books and enjoying discussing them with each other.  :D

EDIT: I didn't put a favorite book because it's impossible to choose just one.

Hi everyone, I'm Jenn! :)

I have a Bachelor's degree in Writing Intensive English and I LOOOOOOVE to read. Which is why I haven't puchased a Nook or Kindle yet because I know I would go broke downloading and buying accessories, etc. :)

I tend to read random books rather than sticking to authors. I do love The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and The Secret Life of Bees. Like Starbux, I also love Shakespeare, his sonnets are my favorite.

Hello! I'm Lauren, and I'm a high school English and journalism teacher. I have BFAs in Graphic Design and Photography that I hardly use anymore, a BA in English, my M.Ed. in Secondary English Education, and I'm planning to return to school for my PhD in English. However, I still love just reading a good book without overanalyzing it, I promise!

I don't know if I can choose a favorite book (it's like asking a mother to chose a favorite child!) but many, many moons ago I wrote my undergrad thesis on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. I do adore that book :)

Hi, I'm Claire!

I left my corporate job for health reasons (read: migraines) last year before my wedding and I have begun a new career as a Petsitter/Dog Walker and I am an apprentice dog trainer.  I have been reading as long as I can remember - my mom used to take books away from me and MAKE me go outside to play!

Favorite book?  I'm not sure I understand the question!  LOL  Ummmm....yeah, can't put my finger on just one - I read sci-fi, fantasy, historical, biographies... you get the idea =)

Claire - I recently left a job because of migraines, too.  I'm now looking for a new career path.
