Camera(s): Supa Sweet Sony! ;)

How long have you been interested in photography: For as long as I can remember, my dad owned a catalog company and had me help him take pics for it with his OLD 33mm. It was a lot of fun! It took photography in high school, and I still love the smell of the dark room.

What do you primarily shoot?: Anything that catches my eye. I am constantly looking, even when I don't have my camera. I love seeing lines created in nature and lamp posts and other man made things.

What editing software do you use?: Photoshop, and Gimp

Emmy, I took graphic arts in HS which included B/W film photography and that is what sparked my enthusiasm, lol.  I LOVED developing the film and pictures!  I clearly remember developing negatives in total and complete darkness...  It was a lot more work than digital and you could do a lot less post-processing wise, but it was very satisfying to work toward an end result.  No instant gratification there, lol.

Name: Chris

Camera(s):  I have a Nikon L20 handheld and DH and I share a Nikon D80 DSLR.  I also have a Pentax 35mm SLR that until the digital age was my go-to.  I kind of miss using it, but film has gotten to be too low-quality by comparison and too expensive.

How long have you been interested in photography:  Since high school when I finally got into the very-popular photography class.

What do you primarily shoot?:  Currently I shoot nature (mostly details).  I'm working on my still life and portrait shots, kind of working my way up the ladder towards getting into wedding photography (I'm basically trying to decide if I have the eye for it and if it's worth the time and money. . .it's something DH and I want to do together but it's many years off)

What editing software do you use?:  I'm currently a little intimidated by Photoshop - so I've been putzing around in paint.net which is a free shareware program that has a lot more capability than say your standard photo editor but is a bit more 'beginner' friendly.  It's like 'Photoshop for dummies'.
