Hi, my name is Maggie.  I'll be getting married May 22, 2010 at Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse in Los Olivos, CA.  That's just a bit northeast of Santa Barbara in the Santa Ynez Valley.  My FI and I are very excited about our outdoor wedding!  The scenery is just so breath taking.  Check out the website if you have time.  Seeing it in person is so surreal!  Much larger than imagined!  There is also an ostrich farm next to the house... oh, and a cute pond down the dirt path.  I am beginning to get nervous about the weather situation and maybe even bugs!!!

Is anyone going to have a Santa Barbara wedding or Santa Ynez Wedding?  Anyone already been through it?  I love to hear your thoughts!

My name is Toni and FI is Jake.  We are having a DW in Mexico Oct 2010.  Our vision is for a very relaxed vacation and simple style.  I'm picturing a beach ceremony with flower petals down the aisle and a erception on the beach deck with dancing under the stars.

Hi everybody! My name is Melissa - our wedding will be outside in Sept in New Mexico. I don't have any pictures because I wasn't thinking that day.   ha.  My inspiration comes from the movie Sabrina - the newer version with Harrison Ford - and how they have an outside nighttime party with lots of lights.  i looooove the idea of paper lanterns like in glamourcakes pictures.  and we're doing teal and hot pink as the colors.

Hello everyone!  My name is Erin and my husband Christian and I got married on November 14th, 2009 in Islamorada, FL, which is in the Florida Keys between Key Largo and Marathon.  We ended up renting two beach houses on the Atlantic Ocean and they were absolutely ideal!  The houses were especially wonderful because not only were they our wedding "venue," but they also provided lodging for most of our immediate family and bridal party for 4 days; the houses also were our backup plan in case of rain.

We ended up having absolutely PERFECT weather the entire 10 days we spent in the Keys, however, everyone was extremely stressed the week before we arrived because Hurricane Ida was passing through the Gulf of Mexico.  I was so happy that we purchased wedding insurance!  Luckily, the weather cleared the day we arrived in Florida.  We had a wonderful wedding, a very special 4 days with our friends and family in Islamorada, and then went off to Key West for our mini-honeymoon.

Here are a few pics of the location pre-wedding and I've added a bunch of wedding pics to my profile (still working on adding the professional reception pics).

Congratulations on your engagements and I hope you all have a blast planning your outdoor weddings!

Last January we had an intimate outdoor wedding planned for approximately 55 guests. The bride had her heart set on an outdoor wedding in the mountains in the winter! She loved the lakeview and wanted to bring heaters outside so all could enjoy the atmosphere. That morning it began snowing - and did not stop until late that night! This was a destination wedding so most of the guests were already in accommodations nearby.

The bride and groom did not let this spoil their day! They had many gorgeous photos taken outside in the snow, the guests loved it, and everyone enjoyed a lovely ceremony and reception inside with a snowy lake as a backdrop. Both fireplaces were roaring and the beverages flowed. The Lake Arrowhead Weddings staff had a job to do! We had to figure out what to do with all the guests while we moved all the ceremony seats (that were supposed to be outside) after the ceremony to make room for the reception dinner seating and tables!

We asked everyone to adjourn to the great room for appetizers (not part of the original plan) while we speedily setup for the reception - the guests didn't even know this wasn't the original plan! Given that the bride had purchased one of our outdoor wedding packages, she didn't even have to worry about plan B. We simply asked her if she liked our plan (which we discussed with her well before the wedding day) and that, in the event of inclement weather, we would just implement it without further distracting her on her wedding day. She was able to sit back and enjoy her day without worrying about what to do about the weather and where to put her guests.

Hi my name is Ashleigh and I am getting married May 29, 2011 in Eagle, ID (just outside of Boise) at Woodriver Cellars winery. I don't really have a theme, but as I have an Irish heritage the wedding will have an Irish flare to it.
