Hi ladies. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have started looking at different baby items, baby bottles being one of them, so I can begin my baby registry. There are so many out there (Dr. Browns, Avent) I'm don't even know how to choose. What do you recommend?

if it helps...I plan on breastfeeding.

I've bought a couple different brands...Avert, Breast Flow and one more I think? I read somewhere not to buy a lot of one kind of bottle in case the baby doesn't like it. Once they are here they will decide which one they like :-)

Avent sorry - stupid auto correct :-)

Medela worked great for us (for breastmilk when I was away)! Plan on using that for New Baby also.

We use avent. My friend who bf also uses them with no problem. It really is a baby-by-baby thing though. Everyone I know have used them with great results just for your info.

I have Tommy Tippee and some own brand bottles.  We used them for expressed milk from about 3 weeks.  At 6 months Esme started having formula, mostly from sippy cups, but still had a bottle before bed.  She's not very fussy and never had a preference between the bottles.

I used several with my boys so they didn't get too attached to any of them, but my favourite ones were Tommee Tippee ones, I used their range of training cups too and they were amazing

Im a fan of Avent but when I had my 4th she was just fine with the gerber bottles.

One of my boys had colic terribly bad...we tried Avent for a week or so, but it didn't do a thing to help. We also tried the Playtex Ventaire Advanced, and they worked wonders. It literally vents the air out of the bottom of the bottle (you can hear the air release as they suck). If you want to pump, they have Playtex brand bottles that work with the bags. My other boy had no problems with gas or colic whatsoever, so we used the Parents Choice brand bottles from Walmart.

I like Tommy Tipee and Born free.  We had not problems with the nipples and she took to them very easily.
