What brand of yarn are you using?

I normally don't like to use redheart worsted weight yarn to make my baby items because it has no stretch, but they have some really neat colors! I am currently making a sweater for a boy or maybe it could be unisex. The color is earth and sky. It reminds me of fall and leaves so I am going to put some leaves on it and use leaves for buttons. What brand of yarn are you using?

I really like RedHeart, and Redheart supersoft for things like adult scarves, and afghans... but have been liking caron simply soft for baby items, and shawls!

I use Caron Simply Soft for all my baby items too! That is what I used on the sets I did. I use to use redheart soft but I can't find it a lot of places and it is super expensive at Joann's. I can't wait to get done with the sweater I am doing now. Interesting color.

It really depends on the project.  I like Caron Simply soft, and there's I Love This Cotton at Hobby Lobby.  Carisma and Impeccable are by Loops and Threads (I think) that I normally get at Michaels when it's on sale.  I like to use Bernat's (oops!) Patons wool when I'm felting because it does a good job, I also like to use Bamboo Ewe for felting.  And the variegated/multi colors in Homespun.

Right now I'm using Lion Brand Thick and Quick Chenille to make a shrug for my daughter for the wedding.  I had my niece knit her one from the I Love This Cotton but it turned out kinda small.  I have to wait until Saturday when she (hopefully) comes over to see if we can try to stretch it at all.

I switch between Loops n' Threads, Bernat, Vanna's Choice, and some alpaca brand whoe name I can't recall. It's sad how much yarn I have right now sitting with no fingers working it lol, I might be givingsome away to a friends daughter who is learning to crochet (almost feel bad that I might start her own crochet addiction lol)

I have been using the Red Heart worsted yarn for my placemats and my afghan.  For baby products, I switch between the Caron soft and Red Heart Simply Soft.

Mrs. Hodder - you're not starting an addiction, you're enabling a new hobby!  And we all love enablers! lol

I too have more than I thought I would ever have.  My yarn tote is overflowing and I'm going to have to move into another one soon.  I have about 11 out of 13 skeins of worsted that I was going to make into an afghan during a CAL (crochet-along) but didn't have the time and still don't have the last 2 skeins I need.  However I still have the pattern so I can get it done whenever I have the time. (After the wedding, after the holidays, sometime next year...)

And it doesn't stop there.  I'm starting to get into the processing of wool before it becomes yarn.  I have two colors I'm actually spinning myself and another ball that needs to be dyed.  (I'm intrigued with kool-aid dyeing!)

Siouxzan, I love your idea of doing a shrug for your daughter for her wedding! I may have to steal that idea for my vow renewal!

I've got two projects going on right now, a rather complicated knit blanket that I've been working off and on for about 3 years now and a scarf for my son. The brand of yarn for both projects is Red Heart. I live in a small town and Wal Mart has been our only option for craft supplies until just recently. A craft store opened up a couple of months ago and I've got my fingers crossed it'll actually stay in business!
