To me this means the following:

No matter what comes our way- I will love, honor, obey, and faithfully stay with you until our time here in this world is over. There will be many joys and disappointments in our walk but no matter what comes I will remain by your side. The only thing that shall part us is the good Lord himself when our purpose in life is fulfilled.

It may sound rather cheesy but that is what those vows mean to me.

I agree with you Phelpsym33. I mean like you said there will be joys and disappointments along the way but in each relationship you have to work together... pray together... support each other... and love each other. I know love is just a word but with action it is a strong tower ;)

Oh no... I know you are not alone in thinking this :) I have actually been trying to come up with another way of saying this for using in my vows... I think I have a head start. Thanks!
