I have been trying to find a good menu that isn't the Norm..

Whats your menu????

We are doing louisiana themed cuisine (both of our families are from there) and our chef is working with us to create something special.

But here is my venue's catering menu they have a wide variety of cuisines featured.  Hopefully, you find something that will inspire you!

Our menu is fairly traditional for a formal sit down dinner.  What is pretty unique though, is the deep fried Mars bar dessert for the children.  Us adults even want it :)

@LadESQ - I was thinking about Cajun!!!

We are doing pizza and salad ohh and of course and app of fruit veggies, meat and cheese

Think we decided to have our rehearsal dinner at our favorite pizza joint!!

Sourdough Bread with Olive Tapenade  Absolutely delicious!!! LOVE their Tapenade =) A great start to an amazing meal =)  As a surprise we also had Chilean Bread "Pan Amasado".  My Mom tripped when she saw it =)

Panzanella  Marinated Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Olives, Red Onions, Fresh Burrata with Rustic Croutons in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fresh Basil, & White Balsamic Vinegar

This salad was awesome & soooooo pretty!  It was like a fuschia explosion on the plate!  The pix def do not do it justice =)  I wasn't crazy about the Burrata Cheese...but then again I'm not a big cheese person.  Other than that it was AMAZING!!! =)

Salmon Organico  Pan Roasted New Zealand Salmon Filet with Swiss Chard, Bacon, Israeli Couscous & Roasted Tomatoes

Pollo Arrosto  Free Range Chicken Slow Roasted in our Wood Fire Oven with Herbs de Provence served with Sautéed Baby Spinach, Fingerling Potatoes & Natural Jus

We are having salad, garlic bread, fruit, antipasta, lasagna and pizza.

For the cake - Chocolate pudding cake with chocolate filling and white chocolate cream cheese frosting! We will also have a 12" NY Cherry Cheesecake with Light cream cheese frosting and cherries with chocolate drizzled on top - for the Groom/Birthday Cake!

still need help with this! trying to come up with island inspired fare that is not hard core Jamaican fare (example: curried goat, etc). I know that people can be picky when it comes to food and I don't want it to be wasted. I know that curried items would not necessarily go over well with my guests but I do want to give them the island experience. thinking...
