I was thinking of doing ours over christmas break...how about you guys?

Ours is only good for 30 days, and my FI is going back home (to Georgia) right after the new year, so it's going to have to be one of the absolute things we do in the two days he gets in before the wedding.

In Texas, the marriage license is only valid for 30 days but you cannot get married within 72 hours of receiving the certificate...meaning you can't get it on a Friday and plan to wed on that Saturday (weird). So I guess, we will go get ours about 2 weeks before our date.

We had to notify the state of our intention to marry no less than 3 months before the wedding.  Wedding is Feb 10th, we did our paperwork Nov 9th!!!! We had forgotten about it!!!

man, i haven't really thought about it! ours is good for 60 days, so we'll probably go the first week in january.

Just got ours today. In CA, it's good for 90 days. Good to get that item checked off the list. Invitations go out this week.

We got ours last week.  In florida its good for 60 days so we are good till our February 13th wedding!!!

booo...I have to wait till January. Apparantly the office is closed for the holidays until the new year!!

Lorena0020 DATE TWINS!!!! In Oklahoma our license are only good for 10 days and the day you pick it up is day 1. So to add to my stress the week of the wedding I have to get my FI to go with me to the court house and get it. Its going to be tough since he is Law Enforcement Officer and I am EMT and we have weird conflicting schedules. UGH SO MUCH TO DO AND SO LITTLE TIME TO DO IT IN

The way our schedule is we have to get legally married before the wedding :(  My wedding is in Oklahoma... I live in Georgia and we won't get to OK until late Friday night... the wedding is on a Sunday.. bahhhh
