Hello everyone!

I guess the title asks it all!

I haven't gone dress shopping yet. I know that some dresses can take a long time to come in, but I was surprised (after reading posts by other brides) just how long it can take...which makes me wonder if I should have gotten started by now!

If you do have your dress already (and it had to be ordered), how long did it take for you to get it?

If you haven't gotten a dress yet, when are you planning on going shopping for one? :)

I'm taking a 1/2 day off from work this coming week, so I am  considering making an appointment to try on dresses.

I haven't gone dress shopping yet. I don't really have a time set to go either. In the next couple of months, I suppose... :) My sister and my mom don't live in the same city as me, so we will have to coordinate something. I would like atleast one of them to come with me.

I'm not going until January.

I bought mine this summer. I wasn't planning to do that, but the dress was discontinued, fit perfectly and was in ivory (what i wanted) PLUS it was $700 off because it was the last one in 3 states.

I went dress shopping back in Feburary with no intent to purchase and found the dress and it was 20% off...doesnt get any better than that.  So I ordered it in Feb. and it was in by June/July.  I am actually going this weekend to try it on and show my grandmas.  I am beyond excited and hope that I am still in love since it has been FOREVER.  I will post pics.

I've been once already and I am going this weekend. I feel like I need to make this decision because it might set the mood for the wedding as far as contemporary vs traditional. 

I went browsing a few months ago but I haven't actually gone with the intention to find "the one"! I plan on going in December. 

akaybrown- Are you shopping around Louisville? If so, what shops? I've been told to check out a couple bridal boutiques in downtown Middletown but I cant remember the names. 

I found my dress last winter... around Jan?

I've been price watching it this whole time  (not much happened...lol)  I'm going to go buy it between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I heard that's the best time to try and get a good deal on a dress.

I got mine in Feb of last year because my dress shop was having a superbowl sale and everything was 20% off!!!!!!  Def keep your eyes open for those deals, I know with me the discount I got will cover a veil and keep my gown and veil right around the 2000 mark and than includes alterations!

ps...akay...I totally agree that the dress sets the tone for your big day!!
