When do you have your bridal shower?

How soon before the wedding do you have your shower?

My bridal shower is this Saturday and my wedding is March 23. So just over a month out at 42 days

A lot of woman from my town have it two weeks before the wedding or the saturday before the wedding.  That way if bridal party participants are out of town they will still be able to make it.

My first shower was this past Saturday (35 days away) and my next one is a week from this Saturday (21 days away), so I'd say within two months before the wedding.

From my experience, brides have theirs about 2-3 months before. This gives time for the guests to save up for the actual wedding.

I once went to a shower 6 months prior to the wedding and I thought that was really pushing it. I personally like the 2 month mark.

I think traditionally they are about 6 weeks to 2 months in advance of the wedding. Mine was about 10 weeks before the wedding. My sister lives on the other side of the country so we will be having her shower a full 6 months ahead of the wedding because that is when she will be in town. Really, whatever works for you should be fine!!

I think a couple of months in advance is a good idea, but you could do it closer, too.

You can have it up to 3 months before the wedding.

Ours is Feb 18th and the wedding is April 6th. just a little over a month and under two.

Mine was just around the one month mark. I think anything between one and two months would be PERFECT.
