My DOC told me at my last appt that she doesn't think that I will go past my due date and I have 3 1/2 weeks left.... When should I pack my bags? I just feel like time is going to drag even slower once that is done because that is pretty much the last thing on my list of stuff to do....

Personally, I would just do it now and get it over with. That way you know you have everything you need and dont have to worry about it. Imagine if you went into labor early and it was not packed and then you had to try and explain to hubby or your mom where everything is and what you want. That would suck!

Lol.... Yes that would suck! I need to go get travel size shampoo and conditioner and all that fun stuff so maybe I will go do that today....

I technically knew when I was going into "labor."  However, my doc was worried I would go into actual labor sooner because of how low he was sitting and how big they thought he was (they were guessing about 10 lbs).  I lagged on getting it packed.  I did make a list of what I wanted and then started slowly putting stuff in my bag and crossing it off.  I had everything packed about a week before. 

Also make sure to get your car seat installed prior to going to the hospital.  You don't want E having to deal with that once you are there.  Funny thing is, I made DH put that in before I had my bag packed, so he knew how to do it and it was ready in case I went into labor early.

Yeah, just get it done. I had a feeling I would go in labor early, and the weekend when I was 36 weeks was a full moon, so I packed my bag. I'm glad I did too because I went into labor just a week later. If you have a birth plan, print out a few copies and throw them in your bag too.

I agree with Cari about the carseat. Get it done now so you or your DH won't have to do it in a rush. The hospital won't let you take the baby home unless you have a car seat, I think it's a state law. And it will just make life easier to have it done before you go into labor.

I installed our car seat when I was in early labor, stopping every 5 to 10 minutes to breathe through a contraction. In hindsight, it must have looked pretty funny. I will be installing it much earlier for the next kid.

I always think of Alex when I think about when I should put my car seat in. It makes me smile :) The only reason I haven't put it in yet is we're buying a new car before the baby comes so I'd just have to take it out.

I'm a big planner... I was packed for my honeymoon about a month before so I'm sure I'll get on it during my nesting phase and I'm sure I'll over pack... like always.

Pack it now.  I did most of the packing, thinking I would have time to pack the rest of it while in labor. 

Uh no.  I was at the hospital one hour after my first contraction and forgot all my makeup, toiletries, etc.  I had to ask my stepson (15) to pack the rest for me.  You can imagine what he showed up with!

Thanks ladies! I went to Target and got all my travel toiletries and all that fun stuff.... Just got back my maxi dresses and pants tonight from getting hemmed (I am short so always have to get things hemmed) so I am ready to pack my  bags! My whole family thinks that she will be early so it makes me more nervous even though I know she will come on her own time :) The only thing that I can't find are Tucks.... Anyone know where I can get them? 

hahaha bling its getting sooo close 4 us now im down to 11 days! mine has been packed for a lil while since i had a scare in hospital n they wernt going to let me out....
