Well, I'm almost at my 6 month mark! I can't believe how time has flown by. How about a little update on where everyone is at in their planning stages?

So far for me we have:

Venue booked and half way paid for

Photographer deposit paid

engagment photos taken

Officiant paid for

Cake paid for

Wedding Dress bought

Bridesmaid Dress bought

Save the Dates bought but not addressed

Ceremony decor almost done

Reception decor bought and semi started

glad to see you are making progess ellen..... i'm at my 3 month mark and i have yet to book my reception hall....

I'm just starting- is this the hardest part? I feel like once we come up a date and venue - send out invitations - it's gotta be for sure the date and place we wanna have the wedding at- we have so many choices and the budget is so hard to stay in. I can't wait to get to the point where we know for sure where the wedding is gonna be....

I am with you on that Amber. We're just starting too.  We are not sure what kind our top budget will be but we want to keep it as small as possible.  We have just under a year from the date we want, so the venue we choose has to come pretty quick and have our date available.  I guess having a significant set of numbers sort of narrows things a bit.  I feel like maybe we'll have to settle on venue because of it, but at the same time confident we'll get what we want... We are just looking to have so much fun with it.  That's what matters!

Darcelleauguste, you must have nerves of steel! I'd be shaking in my boots if I were 3 months away and still didn't have a venue! Do you have some ideas lined up?

Amberglam and thewonderfuls, I felt totally stuck in planning until I had my venue. I was thinking of having a woodland/forest themed vow renewal before I got my venue. Now that I have it, I see that theme just won't work but I've got a million other ideas that will. Without the venue, there's so much you can't do, huh?

Our vow renewal is in June. So far, we've got the venue and photographer and that's it. I've been gathering decor and ceremony ideas and plan to start DIYs soon. 

I feel like once the venue was set and started buying decorations so I couldn't change my mind again. Everything started falling into place.

in process of making card box

caterer booked, deposit paid and menu decided

invitations designed and paid for, waiting for go date to print.

ahvr2013.. i dont have nerves of steel.. its just that the reception place said  that they are not taking bookings for next year yet even if its in january. so i am just depending on the peace of God to make it true.. if it had not been for him i would have gone crazy by now. i Hope i get through this week !...  :)
