Where to honeymoon?

Hey Ladies,

I want to choose a honeymoon spot that is romantic, yet a lot of fun. I would like to go somewhere that has beautiful, tropical beaches and an upbeat nightlife. Any suggestions? The only place I've visited was Mexico and that was when I was 18 ha-ha, so I have no idea about this stuff. Therefore, I figured I'd ask the experts; all of you ladies are a pool of resources. Thanks a lot!

There are only two tropic place I've been too...Hawaii and Philippines.

If you and your FI want to be more adventures I recommend the Philippines.
I've always enjoyed my visit. FI and I are going there end of this year. I can't wait to show him the beaches and historic sites. I just wish the dollar is a bit stronger. You can check out this blog http://letsgotophilippines.blogspot.com/

If you don't want to go that far, there's always Hawaii. FI and I went to Oahu last summer of 2006. We had a wonderful time.

My fiance and I are going to Australia - Sydney, which has lots of great restaurants, nightlife, and great beaches to (learn how to) surf, and Cairns by the Great Barrier Reef and rainforests - tropical, more isolated and romantic, but still with great activities (we're planning on snorkeling and ATVing while we're there). Just depends when you want to go, since Australia's seasons are opposite of ours - we're going in September, when it's springtime over there and not stingray season =)

We are going to Grand Cayman in the Carribean. I actually, really wanted to swim with stingrays, and its one of the best places to do that. But we also wanted to relax, and go out a couple of nights. I dont think the night life is huge...but if you stay near 7 mile beach, there are several bars and clubs. We are going in May, before hurricane season starts during our summer.

I was all set on Maui because I'm familiar with the island and I would know where to go, what to eat, etc. so it'd be nice and relaxing for us. But now a friend may get married there two months before our wedding, so I don't want to go there twice in such a short time (ha, well, maybe I do). If you want upbeat nightlife though, Oahu would be the island to go to. Or check out those adult only all inclusive resorts in Mexico. Ok, I've personally never been, but it sounds real nice and you can book it thru Costco, hehe.

Been to Hawaii twice, so were making a trip to the Caribbean! I'm so excited, plans are not set though- were deciding on the islands. I'm routing for the places with the private plunge pools/spas, etc! I think it would be a blast!

I am thrilled to say that we are going to Jamaica. I didn't want to spend a whole two days of honeymooning on a plane, did want to have good scuba, and wanted a unique culture. Jamaica was the answer!

We're going island hopping in Hawaii. We originally planned on the Caribbean but in February we went to St. Thomas and St. Maarten and figured the rest of the Caribbean would be similar. Surprisingly, neither of us have been to Hawaii so we figured it would be a good start (not to mention the nights in Oahu were won at a bridal fair-what better time to use a free hotel stay?!?!)

As far as im concerned there is nothing NOTHING better them Atlantis....they have an under the sea lazyriver,and water slides from the lobby to the sea......that is just a lil tiny tip of the xcitment:)

also if you guy scuba dive,there is an under the sea hotel that only sleeps up to four of the keys in FL called Jules underwater hotel:)....
