Hey ladies,

Our ceremony is at the Botanical Gardens, which will be beautiful, but we would like a 2nd photo location that offers some variety.  Where is a good spot to take wedding photos?  TIA!

Hmmm, there's always the arch/arch grounds, which also gives you access to the landing (brick streets, river, etc.).  We're getting married in Lafayette Park, which is a little different than the botanical gardens, and has all of these cool old French houses around the park- they're fun and really colorful! :)  Hope this helps!

I posted this on the main board, but I'll put it here too in case you only check this one:

What about either forest park, the sculpture park, downtown (so you've got the arch, that little park on Market, the landing, etc)?

This probably wont help you since you will be on the other side of STL for your ceremony, but we went to downtown St. Charles for pictures. I like the idea of going downtown and getting some urban shots, especially since your ceremony will have the garden shots.

Holiday, when you say variety, what do you mean?  The Botanical Gardens is close to Tower Grove park, which is beautiful and a great location for pictures.  But they're both going to provide outdoor garden/park shots, so maybe not the best for "variety."

Are you looking for urban backgrounds?  Indoor backgrounds? Funky or funny?

Hi July,

Yes, I'm thinking urban backgrounds.  Possibly indoor if it's a cool backdrop.  We would lean more towards funky and modern versus funny.  Does this help?  What do you think?....

I love the random alley ways in STL. You just have to be cautious...I used to work at Jefferson and washington and found a couple cool spots over there.

The arch grounds and the Grafiti wall are both cool as well!
