I really want to hang a chandelier in the nursery and have been looking online.... I found a few at Pottery Barn that I like.... The only problem is that there is no lighting in the bedroom only outlets.... Is it hard to have someone wire the bedroom for lighting? Here are the two from Pottery Barn that I like....

$129

White Ella Chandelier

$169

Mia Chandelier

i like 2 best, but if it were ME, id hire someone to put a dome light on the ceiling WITH a dim switch, I would not have a baby without a dim switch, use it ALL the time =)

Hmm I wonder if I can have a dimer with a chandelier.... I think that I will have to research it.... I just love the look of chandeliers!

I would def hire someone to install it and do the lighting for you.  We did that in our bedroom and office/nursery last year when we had ceiling fans/lights added.  We have vaulted ceilings and I thought it couldn't be done, but it was.  The guy I used was really reasonable and recommended by someone I knew, let me know if you want his info.

You probably can do a dimmer on it.  We got remotes for both of our fans that have dimmers now too.  It is awesome!

I think I would vote for #2 also.

LOVE these!!  They are absolutely adorable!! :)

I know it's not exactly a chandelier, but did you see Target's?  I can't seem to find it on their site..

But check out this nightlight :)

Bling, you can have them on dimmers! We have one in our dinning room and it is on a dimmer. BTW I LOVE the second one.

for a nursery i like the first one. and yes you can have it dimmed. and ditto on having a professional do it. the last thing you want happening is any electrical problems as a result of extensions in the babys room!

Thanks ladies! I think that the 2nd one may be two big for her room so I may go with the first one.... I have been looking at other places but most of the reviews are bad so I know that I am safe with Pottery Barn....

Yes, you can definitely have it on a dimmer and wait and check this site before you buy! It has tons of chandeliers for CHEAP!  We bought our chandelier for our bathroom here and love it: http://www.gspncrystals.com/CHANDELIERS/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=144 and it was less than $100 with tax!

This is how it looks in our bath:
