White or ivory dress -- does it matter?

It was Queen Victoria (when she married Prince Albert) who is credited with starting the whole white dress thing. Previously, brides wore their best clothes or the most expensive new clothes they could afford, but not necessarily in white. Anyway, Moemarsita, your guy is going to be blown away no matter what - just pick what you want!

Thanks for the correction =o) wasn't sure about that part. Anyway, yes, just wear what you like. You said you liked the ivory, so go with it. The difference is so slight, your FI wont even notice.

Trust me, when you FI see's you walking down the aisle, he won't be focused on the color of your dress, just on his beautiful bride. :0)

If you like ivroy best, then go for it. :0)

Get the ivory! I want an off-white color as well, either ivory or something with a hint of champagne or pink. I tried on this Jenny Lee dress a couple of months ago and totally fell in love with it. It looked off-white but had the slightest hint of pink in it that only showed under light - I wish I had a good photo of it but the photos on her website are in black and white :(

I love ivory dresses! I prefer that then the traditional white dresses!
