Whos married & NOT had the 'real' Honeymoon?

I know some of you had a mini-moon (not sure if we will be able to even have that) and my FI job was to plan the HM (which hasn't been done and weddings in 6 weeks)

Anyway, now that your married is it wierd to have not 'had' a HM or anything? I just really wanted one, now we may have to obviously wait a few months or longer.  I don't mind a month or two, but just a little bummed. I guess even if were having one later, I still wish it was at least booked/planned a little,  you know?   It will be wierd planning one after were married?

Not sure what I will 'feel' like after the wedding? you know?  A bummed or who cares feeling haha

me!!!!!!!! we didnt even get to mini moon cuz i got the sniffles. and it would have been nice to have it all planned out already BUT im ok with waiting. we wana do a big and long trip.. so i guess its worth the wait! i was slightly bummed but im over it now =D

ps- were probably going to do our honeymoon next year.. at our 1 year mark!

I'm not married yet but when I am ... we are having a mini moon (Lord willing).  I don't think we have enough for a real honeymoon ... paying out of our own pockets =(

It's been 10 months since we got married and we haven't gone on a honeymoon. We are going to Maui for a week at the beginning of September for our honeymoon.

Last Fall, I didn't have enough vacation time to be able to go anywhere cool after the wedding, so we stuck around the Bay Area for a couple of days and visited with friends and family who'd flown in for the wedidng. It was actually pretty cool to hang with everyone and to breathe a little after the wedding.

I originally wanted to go on a honeymoon this past Spring before the busy summer season began, but DH was a lazy-ass and used "work is busy" as an excuse. I was so ticked at him for a while saying, "I don't want to be like my parents and always regret never going on a honeymoon." We both love to travel, but getting him to sit his ass down and pick a destination and date was like pulling teeth! I was finally able to get him to agree on a place and we're currently waiting for an awesome deal to come along. Oddly enough, prices to Hawaii have been dropping slightly for this Fall.

I have to say that not having any part of the honeymoon planned last Fall was really hard for me. I was annoyed and disappointed and sad all in cycles. I was definately bummed, but I always cared. Now that it's finally being planned I'm kind of glad we waited. We were able to use some of the money we received at the wedding to pay for the honeymoon and we have both been able to save up the vacation time. It's also given us lots of time to research where to go and what to do. When I was in the midst of wedding planning, I probably would have slacked on that.

Don't let it get you down, it'll be alright. We knew our men were procrastinators when we agreed to marry them, right. ;-)

Thanks ladies, I guess Im not to concerned with when, I just wanted something a little planned.  We discussed a mini-moon the following weekend, but he has an event to do on the following weekend (work) so I just thought lets do it during that, stay longer,  plan something, ect? (altough its in the PRIMM/ Vegas area) which doesn't seem that great- BUT it was where he proposed, so? Or just wait until the following weekends to plan something? 

For the 'real' honeymoon we wanted the carribean, since we have already been to Hawaii twice.  We also registered for it. So hopefully it will help down the line...

Maybe just 'officially' planning a mini-moon will make me feel better....

we have not departed on our "real" honeymoon.  Lots of family from overseas and out of state came for our wedding and dh only gets 2 weeks off a year so we hosted out of town guests the week after our wedding and then we leave on Aug 30 for the 'real' HM. 

The only thing is I don't know where we are going its his "surprise" to me. He says he has put as much thought in planning the HM and detail of it as I was with the wedding. 

I was convinced that it wasn't booked but last week he finally emailed me the booking confirmation with ALL the pertinent information whited out...Of course. 

I do have a few clues....which I guessed the Canary Islands but I could be WAYYYYY off....

I am excited because its something else to get ready for...Plus recovering financially from our wedding helps too...

I'm married and haven't had the 'real' wedding! Now that's weird!!

My husband and I didn't even take a mini-moon and to be honest, it doesn't feel strange at all. It's almost like it prolongs the fun! And as silly as it sounds, I'm almost glad we didn't take the honeymoon right away bc now we can really go where we wanted to-Thailand. if we had done one when we got married it would probably be in Vegas!

five years on November 15, 2008 and still no honeymoon~~~ Something has come up every year, Our wedding was a destination so it was like a honeymoon, cept our 4year old daughter was always with us and by now she is 9 and we have another child who is 3. I really want one... Grandma take the beautiful girls and my honey should surprise me with even a weekend mini moon and I would be so happy....
