So Nick and I have set the date and I have found my dress (no bought yet waiting on my school refund) and yet Nick has still failed to put a ring on my finger. Although Nick is crazy and he thinks that considering we both know we are gonna get married that it is just a formality. I think the part that bothers me most is that it is not a matter of not having the money to do it; I could understand if that was the reason. 

I know you're engaged now (Congrats, btw!), but I figured I'd comment anyways. We're pretty much doing the same thing now, except we don't have the date. He wants me to plan as much of the wedding as I can pre-proposal, so that we will only be engaged for 4-6 months before we get married. I'm fine with that, since I don't want a long engagement either, but it would help to know what time of year, and such it would be. He says we'll probably be engaged by Christmas, though, so I'm hoping it happens soon.
