I already know where my heart is, and his too. But when we aren't together, unless you have x-ray goggles no one else knows.

Today I went to the bank to set up a savings account and the banker was TOTALLY flirting with me... finally I was able to bring up my boyfriend... but if I had a ring this could have been easily avoided...

Do you get hit on? Do you think a ring would change that?

yeah, i agree...also you seem more legit. i mean we have been together for almost 8 years, and just calling each other "boyfriend/girlfriend" seems so lame, we are much more than that!

yeah, i agree that you are not seen as "off the market" until there is a ring...

ohh and...people think that we must not have a good relationship if we aren't engaged yet! do you ever get that "hmmm why hasn't he proposed yet?!?"

I've had people hit on me before...but nothing major.

Like the other night at the movies, I went to buy another ICEE and the guy at concessions said, "It's on the house, since you're cute and all."  I guess it's flattering!

I told Joe that I got a free ICEE cause I'm "cute and all" and he didn't seem to mind!  He just laughed and said, "free ICEEs for us!"

"the ring" is like an official stop sign!

haha! I totally agree GinaBEE with ppl thinking, "Oh! You've been together HOW long and your not engaged yet? What's the hold up?" haha and sometimes I feel like I have to explain myself... we've been together since hs, almost 8 yrs, still in school/going back to school, can't afford it yet, we're working on it blah blah

Last night we went to a big dinner thrown by the realtors we bought the house from.  They sat us at a table with other young couples and an older couple.  The older couple asked us if we were newlyweds or if it was just our first house.  It was kind of awkward to have to explain to them that we weren't even engaged yet.  I think Bobby felt a little bad about it but I just joked around that we were engaged to be engaged.  That was one time when I really NEEDED the ring!
