What made you decide on a September wedding?

Time for harvesting the grapes in Napa! Perfect time to celebrate a fruitful marriage! (Cheesy, I know!)

Ok that was when we were dreaming of a DW. Reality struck and so we like September because of the date 9/10/11. It's one of those cool dates like 7/7/07 and we just thought it would be a beautiful month here in sunny SoCal.

I won't have to worry about rain...right?!? LOL.

9-10-11 just sounds cool... & i didnt want it to be cold and it couldnt be in June due to Firemens convention (which means it EXTREMELY hard to get off at work)

Our dating anniversary is September 6. We love everything about the month and it's special to us. We chose the 16th because our friend, who's in the Army, will be able to make it that weekend.

Well, I really love autumn, but Sept 17th is as close as I would like to get, just to make sure that we still have good weather, since we are planning an outdoor ceremony. It is definetly NOT a perfect decision to make for a wedding in Green Bay, WI since the Packers are sooooo huge here and who knows if they will be playing in town that weekend?! If they are then hotel booking is going to be a NIGHTMARE! Cross your fingers for me ;)

I chose September because i've always wanted to get married in my parent's backyard (The house I grew up in) because it's beautiful and surrounded by trees and other natural looks, especially in the fall. Because I live in WI it gets iffy weather-wise in September so I didn't want it too late in the month. The first weekend in September is Labor day and I didn't want to mess up anyone's vacations or anything.  So thus I picked the second Saturday in September: September 10th...only THEN did i realize that it was 09/10/11 when i plugged the numbers in as my wedding date in my wedding website thing! haha.  the 9-10-11 wasn't even on purpose, lol.

September is GORGEOUS where we live. Some say that it's the best time of year for the Central Coast (we're in Cali). The weather is generally around 65-70, though it can definitely get into the 80s in late September, and the wind is pretty mild.

I actually was going for 9-10-11 because I have a thing for numbers, and it seemed fun. Well, our original venue that we booked during the first week of January 2010 had that date taken already (I know - wth?), so we took 9/24/2011 instead, as 24 is my lucky number.

We've since changed venues, but I just can't imagine using a different date now, so 9/24 it is! Now my FI only has to remember 2/24 for my bday and 9/24 for our anniversary. Dating anniversary is 9/20, so he doesn't even have to change months ;) I like to make it easy on the guy.

Well  - 9-10 is the actual day he proposed.  So 9-10-11 will be 2 years to the day that we got engaged.  It also is exactly 1 week before his bday, so he better not forget our anniversary.

When we decided that we were actually getting married in Memphis (yikes) then we picked september because it's one of the better months weather wise.  It rains like no other here in May.  June, July and August are so hot & humid that you can't even remember your own name.  There's still a chance it could be really hot for our wedding but we're hoping for the best.  I originally wanted the 17th (I figured the closer we could get to fall the better the weather would be) but FI liked the 9.10.11 thing so that became our date.
