Hey, I was just wondering how your FI asked his groomsmen to be groomsmen.  Is making a Will you be my groomsmen cards a lil too much?  haha

ha. i had the hardest time getting my FI to ask his groomsmen to be his groomsmen. finally i had to sit down with him to help him write the email! he would have never gone for a will you be my groomsmen card.

but if your is into it, i say go for it. still i think a call or an email may better suit the modern male. but i'm no expert.

haha yeah, well his groomsmen are now asking me do i know if they are a groomsman or not! I can't get him to just ask them!

MY FI asked his Best Man at a party we were at... he was like can i talk to u for a sec.. and just asked real quick.. lol.. then i felt like they were about to cry they hugged! ( i was spying!!) Maybe a gathering with the guys there and have him bring it up casually... all manly and stuff... lol. My FI would never go for cards! (thats just him) I made my bridal party cards and getting them a present.... i think us girls just love to do this stuff! GL! 

I had to force my FI to do something! He ended up gettting these big beer mugs and had the guys names engraved on one side & on the other side wrote Groomsman? 8-24-08.. He gave it to all the guys and the question mark thing didn't come off so well..hhaa they were like why the question mark...Fi was like well, I'm asking you to be my groomsman....they were like Ohhhhh!!! Either way it got the point across I guess! hahaaa

My FI pretended that he was doing a magic trick with a deck of playing cards, but we had previously written on the Ace of hearts ..."will you be a groomsman", "will you be my best man". It was totally unexpected and a "manly" twist on the will you be...card.

FI just asked, "hey, ya wanna stand up there with me?!" I dont even think FI's BIL knows he's the best man!! lol

My FI planned on asking his best friend to be his Best Man during a one on one golfing trip after emailing all the guys saying "so as you are well aware we are getting married and of course I want each of you to be my groomsmen. The Best Man will be decided by a round of basketball and whoever can take me down!"

Just have him send an email. I think a card is a little girly (sorry) or he can just call them. All he needs to say is "hey man, so would you be willing to be in our wedding? I promise the bachelor party will make up for the rented tux!"

It took forever to get FI to ask his groomsmen.  He just did it in conversation, casually.  Guys are so weird. ;)
